Job Description Job Title: Bar back/ Busser Job Category: Kitchen & Service Team Report To: Assistant and General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt or Non-Exempt Primary Location: Tampa, Florida Travel Required: No Level/Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience Website: Summary: Ensures that empty tables are ready to receive new guests. When a party departs, bussers remove dirty dishes, sanitize the table, clean the seats and if necessary, sweep or vacuum the surrounding floor. The Other duties of this multifaceted position is backing up the bartenders and ensuring they have what they need to execute their essential roles in the guests social experience. Without a competent bar backer, the bartenders will run out of stock and glassware. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 5. Yield guest right of way., 8. Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness., 9. Embrace and celebrate Sacred Peppers Culture. Dining Room: 1. Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift., 4. Inspect restrooms every 15 minutes and clean as needed., 8. Ensure there is always enough back up liquor., 9. Run to the storage area to get alcohol if any bartender runs out., 10. Change kegs when required., 12. Re-stock garnishes and mixes., 13. Always ensure there is enough clean glassware., 14. Re-stock ice when needed., 15. Maintain clean towels in each bartenders station., 19. Wash glassware., 20. Wipe the bar top constantly., 21. Help the bartender on anything that he/she needs., 22. Clean the bar., 23. Place dirty towels in their appropriate location., 24. Make sure that the beer cooler is clean and organized., 26. Professionalism., 27. Multi-task oriented., 28. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures., 29. Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness., 30. Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays., 31. Must have clear written and verbal communication skills., 32. Must have basic math skills., 33. Must be able to work in a team environment. Handler & Responsible Vending. Language Ability: Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general information. Ability to effectively respond to questions from customers, vendors, and the general public. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages and volumes. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction and make sound decisions. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping. The Restaurant environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to Restaurant related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. Should be able to consistently reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop, and bend.
