Job Description YOUR IMPACT Maintenance Technician will perform ongoing maintenance and repairs in a manner that will provide excellent member service and a safe, clean and comfortable environment for all. Under general direction, this position will perform ongoing work of average to considerable difficulty performance of building maintenance to include the primary fields of electrical; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); carpentry; plumbing, pool maintenance etc.; and performs other tasks as assigned. This position will be expected to support all facility branches. EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintenance: Identify and address building and equipment issues, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work using a variety of tools to ensure safety and prevent service disruptions., • Repair and Construction: Repair, modify, construct, install, and maintain building structures and equipment, such as roofs, floors, HVAC systems, using hand and power tools., • Material Replacement: Replace or update inoperable building materials and appliances to maintain a safe working environment, using various tools and materials., • Inspections: Inspect facility equipment, systems, and vendor work to ensure safe operation and quality, using various tools., • Plumbing: Repair, replace, and install plumbing systems and components using appropriate tools and materials., • Documentation: Maintain records of work, bids, and material lists using computers and authorized forms., • Inventory Management: Order and stock building supplies, materials, and parts to ensure availability for projects and emergencies., • Estimates: Obtain estimates and quotes for materials and equipment needed for repairs as needed., • Clear Communication: Notify supervisors and user groups of building and equipment conditions and repair schedules., • Electrical Work: Repair, install, and test electrical equipment to maintain electrical power and equipment operation., • Painting: Preserve structures by painting various surfaces to prevent corrosion and maintain building appearance., • Building Modifications: Familiarity with local/state/federal building codes and recommend building modifications to improve facilities and meet standards., • Blockage Removal: Clear blockages in plumbing to restore drainage., • Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and schedule corrective action and preventive maintenance., • Emergency Preparedness: Assess and maintain emergency lighting systems and emergency exits., • Doors and Windows: Install, repair, and maintain doors, windows, locks, and closures., • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for building and equipment repairs during off-duty hours to include some weekends., • Safety: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safety practices, • Sheetrock and Drywall: Hang, patch, texture, and paint sheetrock and drywall., • Vendor Oversight: Oversee vendors and contractors to ensure work is correctly performed., • Electrical Circuits: Analyze electrical circuits and install, repair, calibrate, or replace electrical devices and systems., • Training: Train co-workers in preventive maintenance and produce reports., • General Maintenance: Perform various general maintenance tasks as assigned through NodaFi., • Driving responsibilities: drive YMCA fleet from branch to branch, pick-up materials, transporting equipment/supplies., • Drives YMCA vehicles safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws., • Ensures a strong focus on character development and diversity, equity and inclusion throughout programming., • Reports damaged equipment or safety hazards promptly. Position 1: Camp Winnebago Part-Time, Non-Exempt Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Weekends - On Call Rotation $18.00 per hour Position 2: YMCA Children's Learning Center and Good Shepherd YMCA Part-Time, Non-Exempt Monday - Friday 12:00 - 5:00 pm Weekends - On Call Rotation $18.00 per hour QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum age of 21, • High school diploma or equivalent?, required, • 5 years of maintenance experience., • Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing with your current state of residence, • Must maintain a history of a clean driving record.
