Job DescriptionDescription: The Maintenance Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in the efficient management of spare parts and maintenance inventory within our organization. This position is responsible for administering and maintaining the maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMS), ensuring optimal inventory levels, and facilitating effective communication between maintenance, production, and procurement teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of engineering spare parts and experience working with SAP systems. Organizational Relationships Reports to the Maintenance Manager. Collaborates closely with Production and Quality Assurance. Key Accountabilities • Administer and maintain the maintenance/CMS system, including asset master data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), preventive maintenance plans, and user access., • Create, schedule, and close work orders, supporting planners and technicians to ensure accurate coding, feedback, and documentation., • Set up and maintain spare parts in the system, including item masters, min/max inventory levels, lead times, preferred suppliers, and criticality assessments., • Monitor stock levels, process reservations and issues, and create purchase requisitions/orders to prevent stockouts while controlling inventory value., • Coordinate with maintenance, production, and procurement teams to forecast spare parts requirements for planned shutdowns, projects, and major repairs., • Receive, inspect, and store spare parts following 5S and safety standards; ensure proper labelling, bin locations, and traceability., • Analyze spare parts consumption, obsolescence, and system data quality; propose optimization actions such as standardization, alternative parts, and changes to stocking policies., • Maintain system reports and dashboards on maintenance KPIs and spare parts performance for management review., • Support audits and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company procedures related to maintenance records and materials handling., • Train users (maintenance, stores, engineering) on the correct use of the maintenance system and spare parts processes., • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Qualification & Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent, • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a maintenance or engineering environment., • Strong knowledge of engineering spare parts, including specifications, applications, and sourcing., • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities., • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, • Requires standing, walking, and occasional bending, • Must have reliable transportation to and from work Acknowledgement The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
