Job DescriptionDescription: The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center (TVHC) facilities. This role oversees maintenance, repairs, vendor management, and capital projects across multiple clinical and administrative sites. The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in supporting high-quality patient care by maintaining environments that are safe, functional, and welcoming. This position also ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and supports organizational readiness for audits, inspections, and emergencies. Schedule: This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours. Compensation: $94,814.00 - $101,128.00 annualized, depending on experience. TVHC offers compensation ranges that are determined by a thorough market-based analysis and are fully disclosed in accordance with California law. Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance, Safety & Preparedness • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including:, • OSHPD/HCAI requirements (as applicable), • Cal/OSHA, • Fire Marshal and Life Safety Code (fire extinguishers only), • ADA accessibility requirements, • Support HRSA FTCA and Health Center Program compliance related to facilities., • Lead facility readiness for audits, site visits, and regulatory inspections., • Partner with leadership on emergency preparedness, disaster response, and business continuity planning., • Partner with leadership to develop and maintain emergency preparedness, disaster response, and business continuity plans., • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems., • Oversee day-to-day facilities for all owned and leased clinic sites, administrative offices, and support spaces., • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and compliance needs., • Obtain bids, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and cost efficiency., • Lead or support facility-related projects, including renovations, tenant improvements, clinic openings/closures, and space reconfigurations., • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams as needed., • Develop and manage facilities operating budgets and capital plans., • Track expenses, monitor budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities., • Respond to and coordinate facility-related service requests, emergencies, and after-hours issues., • Supervise and support facilities staff, or other assigned personnel., • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and scheduling of facilities staff., • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence within the facilities function., • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, IT, operations, and administrative teams to minimize disruptions to patient care.Requirements:, • High school diploma required., • Associate’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience., • Minimum of two (2) years of facilities experience required, preferably in healthcare, community health, or a multi-site environment., • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience required., • Experience with clinic build-outs, relocations, or expansions preferred., • Ability to travel regularly between TVHC locations., • Knowledge of California healthcare facility regulations and safety requirements, with preference to experience working in a FQHC or safety-net healthcare setting., • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications., • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English., • Ability to lift up to 30–40 pounds occasionally., • May require availability outside of regular business hours for emergencies or critical projects.
