Job Description KOMAN Government Solutions, LLC (KGS), a wholly-owned 8(a) subsidiary of the Natives of Kodiak (NOK), provides high-quality remediation, consulting, engineering, waste management, munition and construction services. KGS is characterized by our financial stability, positive and profitable growth and an excellent safety record. Our client base includes the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Marine, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Guard Bureau, Federal Aviation Administration, as well as various state, municipal and commercial entities. We have an immediate need for a part-time (20-hours per week) Treatment Plant Operator located in the vicinity of the Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant (NWIRP), Bethpage, New York. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M), monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing various treatment plants. These may include groundwater treatment plants, wastewater pretreatment/treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants, soil vapor extraction/air sparge (SVE/AS) systems, or other treatment plants. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for general plant and property maintenance and implementation of onsite safety and quality control. Benefits: • Our full-time employees are eligible for an outstanding benefits package that consists of medical, dental, vision, life / disability insurance and 401k with match., • Perform Treatment Plant O&M in accordance with prescribed requirements including discharge permit requirements., • Perform instrument calibration/measurement/data recording for operating parameters., • Collect process samples to be shipped for laboratory analysis., • Perform routine maintenance items such as filter changeouts, carbon backwashing, carbon or other media changeouts, pump and motor servicing, and/or any other routine maintenance required., • Respond to system call-outs as required within 4 hours to keep the treatment plants running continuously., • Perform/oversee routine site maintenance including limited mowing and snow removal., • Treat water generating from construction dewatering events., • Perform troubleshooting activities. Assist with repairs and treatment plant upgrades or modifications., • Prepare daily reports to be emailed to the Project Manager., • Prepare monthly reports including discharge monitoring reports, • Oversee onsite activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations., • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory., • Assist in generating Request for Information and Change Order documents, including labor and materials costs for necessary maintenance., • Prepare internal reports pertaining to job status., • Oversee subcontractors, • Familiarity/experience with operation/control of:, • Remote recovery wells, • Air Stripping, • Bag Filtration, • GAC filtration, • Advance oxidation process (AOP), • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training., • Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator., • OSHA 40 hr HAZWOPER Training preferred., • Basic mechanical skills to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and direct repairs on groundwater extraction and treatment system components., • Ability to work in the field on hazardous waste sites., • Must be able to occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds., • Must be a US citizen and can obtain security clearance/badges for access to secure military installations., • Must possess valid US driver’s license and good driving record. Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary GenServe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Technician to join our elite field service team. This position requires advanced expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of generator systems, including diesel, natural gas, and propane-powered units, as well as complex automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control systems. Gen Tech 3’s are expected to work independently in the field, lead service projects, and support our Level 1 and Level 2 Gen Techs. Key Responsibilities • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on commercial and industrial generator and associated systems., • Troubleshoot and service complex electrical issues, engine performance problems, and control system faults., • Conduct full system testing including load bank testing, frequency/voltage checks, and ATS operation validation., • Interpret and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals., • Lead or support large-scale emergency service response efforts., • Maintain complete and accurate service records, parts usage, and technical reports., • Provide support and guidance to Gen Tech 1 and 2’s., • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure successful completion of work., • Promote and enforce GenServe’s safety practices and protocols at all job sites., • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response duties as needed and resolve equipment issues on-site., • Coordinate with dispatch to schedule multi-day service jobs and manage rental equipment for complex repairs, ensuring timely availability and efficient resource allocation., • High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification strongly preferred., • Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in generator service and repair or related field, • Strong knowledge of major generator brands (Cummins, Kohler, Generac, CAT, MTU, etc.)., • Proficiency with multiple OEMs including Generac, CAT, Cummins, Kohler, MTU, and ASCO is preferred., • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, software interfaces, and load banks., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record., • Strong knowledge of NFPA 110, NFPA 70E and OSHA standards., • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in field/outdoor conditions., • Must perform all duties and responsibilities of a Gen Tech 2., • Expert-level troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical and electrical systems., • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls or projects., • High level of safety awareness and attention to detail., • Strong organizational and documentation skills., • EGSA Certification (Apprentice).
