Job Summary As a key leader, you will play a pivotal role in steering the foundation's marketing and communication strategies, ensuring brand consistency, and driving impactful campaigns. You will manage centralized information repositories, execute marketing plans, and oversee various aspects of communication initiatives within our nonprofit sector. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively promote DGF's mission while supporting fundraising and development efforts. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Budget Management • Manage DGF marketing and PR strategies, including planning and budgeting to achieve organizational objectives., • Develop, catalog, and manage a centralized repository for critical information to maintain consistency and professionalism., • Create and maintain comprehensive marketing calendars aligned with fundraising campaigns and organizational goals., • Develop annual marketing strategy that supports the foundation's mission and revenue targets.Marketing Campaigns & Brand Management, • Develop tactical marketing plans, direct promotional support and collaborate with team members on brand-focused content., • Manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure brand consistency and strategic goal achievement., • Create compelling marketing materials that effectively communicate DGF's social justice and arts mission., • Oversee brand guidelines implementation across all marketing channels and materials., • Develop targeted communication strategies for diverse audiences including donors, artists, and community stakeholders.Digital Marketing & Social Media, • Manage DGF's digital presence across all platforms including website, social media channels, and online campaigns., • Oversee the work of our social media coordinator. This includes weekly planning, developing content strategy, building a content calendar, and managing/approving her work., • Create and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and expand audience reach., • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to optimize campaign performance., • Develop SEO strategies to improve online visibility and searchability.Events & Sponsorships, • Organize and execute internal and external events to enhance brand visibility., • Oversee sponsorship opportunities in alignment with DGF brand strategy., • Support major fundraising events including the annual Dinner Gala through targeted marketing campaigns., • Coordinate marketing efforts with event planning teams to maximize attendance and engagement.Content Management & Production, • Project manage all written and visual materials to be posted/distributed on behalf of the foundation., • Establish and oversee content calendar and media campaigns., • Develop and produce marketing collateral including brochures, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials., • Ensure all content aligns with DGF's mission of advancing equity and justice in classical vocal arts.Public Relations & Media Outreach, • Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and industry publications., • Create and distribute press releases and media kits for DGF events and initiatives., • Coordinate interviews and media appearances for foundation leadership., • Monitor media coverage and manage crisis communications when necessary.Reporting & Analysis, • Provide reports on marketing campaign KPIs, analyzing data from various sources., • Generate periodic marketing surveys and analytic reports., • Track and report on website analytics, social media engagement, and campaign effectiveness., • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for audience growth and engagement.Internal Coordination & Support, • Act as the DGF liaison for monthly marketing meetings with external teams., • Supervise and proof marketing materials for all organizational positions., • Support grant writing initiatives within DGF by providing marketing insights and materials., • Collaborate with development team to support fundraising goals through strategic marketing.Email Marketing & Communications, • Oversee email marketing initiatives and newsletters., • Manage donor communication campaigns and segmented messaging strategies., • Develop automated email sequences for donor cultivation and stewardship., • Maintain email list hygiene and compliance with best practices.Other Duties as Assigned, • Support special projects and initiatives as directed by Executive Director., • Participate in strategic planning sessions and organizational development activities. Required Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field., • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in nonprofit or arts organizations., • Demonstrated experience with brand management and strategic marketing planning., • Experience with nonprofit sector communications and understanding of donor relations.Technical Skills, • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (Network for Good, Salesforce, or similar)., • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems., • Proficient in Canva, Web Development (EditorX), and Later is a must., • Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms., • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar)., • Familiarity with website management and basic HTML/CSS knowledge preferred., • Needs to have basic graphic design ability.
