Your Mission Lead a disciplined quality operation that finds issues fast, learns faster, and continuously improves processes across production and logistics. How You’ll Deliver Impact Find and Fix • Direct and assist auditors in investigations, troubleshooting, and product/material audits., • Inform production, warehouse, and engineering leaders quickly and recommend effective countermeasures., • Use data to optimize quality results and operational efficiency., • Perform root cause analysis on repeated damage in prep lanes and throughout the facility; drive corrective actions. Measure What Matters, • Maintain daily/weekly quality reporting on variation and product opportunities., • Collect shop and prep-lane repair data, enter it accurately, and mine it for insights., • Analyze recurring defects and product returns; communicate trends and recommendations with Continuous Improvement tools. Partner Across the Flow, • Work with manufacturing and warehouse leadership to close process and quality gaps., • Collaborate with leaders and operations teams to test and implement quality initiatives., • For every new floor introduction, coordinate reviews to identify assembly, handling/storage, repair material, delivery, and product opportunities—and provide training where needed. Build Audit Excellence, • Train, direct, and oversee quality auditors; clarify priorities and track performance., • Develop audit protocols and communication cadences that stick., • Audit SOP adherence routinely; investigate returns to determine root causes., • Teach warehouse teams how to run effective product return investigations. Advance Continuous Improvement, • Identify and lead improvement projects that reduce defects and waste., • Analyze service claim and replacement part data for repeat reasons and underlying causes; brief manufacturing and quality leaders with recommendations., • Call out products with persistent delivery failures and advise on removing them from the sales floor. Secure Compliance and Safety, • Ensure adherence to established processes; escalate non-compliance promptly., • Keep departmental equipment safe and reliable., • Model and enforce PPE usage and safety standards; support leaders on production control, SOPs, safety, quality control, and performance systems. Lead People and Manage Resources, • Hire or recommend talent moves; set development plans; manage promotions, corrective actions, terminations, and pay adjustments., • Coach, mentor, and review performance; manage timekeeping and attendance with accuracy., • Run team meetings, 1:1s, and training to align goals and build skills., • Optimize equipment, facilities, staffing, methods, and materials; ensure the right tools and supplies are on hand. What You Bring Education & Experience, • High school diploma or equivalent (required)., • 3–5 years in QA/QC or similar within manufacturing, distribution, or logistics., • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role., • Furniture, manufacturing, or warehouse experience preferred., • Track record in root cause analysis and structured problem solving. Technical Strengths, • Quality management systems and database proficiency., • Data analysis/reporting with Excel, Power BI, or comparable tools., • Continuous Improvement know-how: Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen., • Quality control standards and inspection methods., • Ability to interpret product specifications and apply standards.
