Job Description The SFMTA Transit Division’s Maintenance of Way (MOW) Section is seeking a Senior Operations Manager, Mechanical Infrastructure (Mechanical Infrastructure SOM). This role will oversee and manage the work of four mechanical and infrastructure-related units within MOW, including: Cable Car Propulsion, Cable Car Track Maintenance, Mechanical Systems, and Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Track Maintenance. The role encompasses the leadership of over 100 maintenance personnel across various classifications, with an emphasis on ensuring high-quality infrastructure in support of SFMTA Muni operations. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and professional, with extensive experience managing complex maintenance programs within a transit or similarly scaled operational environment. Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Maintenance Officer (DCMO), the Mechanical Infrastructure SOM plans, manages, supervises, and leads the execution of essential maintenance and repair activities involving mechanical systems and infrastructure that support the City’s transit operations. This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements, and guiding staff in resolving technical and emergency maintenance challenges. This role is responsible for independent validation, in-depth review, and quality oversight of CRO-produced statistical programming deliverables, including SDTM, ADaM, TFLs, and submission-related documentation. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role requiring strong technical expertise in CDISC standards, regulatory programming, and CRO oversight, combined with the ability to manage timelines, risks, and frequent study changes in a fast-paced, sponsor-led biotech environment. While the role does not initially include direct people management, it carries senior-level accountability for ensuring programming quality, consistency, and submission readiness across studies. Basic Case Management: The RSC shall provide case management services to residents with the primary goal of maintaining housing stability, including ongoing meetings and counseling to establish goals, develop services plans that are residents-driven without predetermined goals, provide referrals and linkages to off-site support services, and track progress toward achieving those goals. The RSC shall document case management meetings, engagement, and progress. The RSC shall connect each resident with resources needed to be food secure as they live independently.The RSC shall refer residents to and coordinate services within the community that support progress toward identified goals. This may include providing information about services, calling to make appointments, assisting with applications, providing appointment reminders, following up/checking in with households regarding the process, and, as necessary, re-referral. The RSC in conjunction with Property Management and Third-Party Agencies shall conduct monthly community meetings for residents, in coordination with Property Management, during which residents may discuss building concerns and program ideas with representatives from both Support Services and Property Management staff.The RSC shall periodically assess the needs of residents with Property Management and other teams at the building to develop programming that will help residents maintain stability and enjoy their housing. Exit Planning: If a resident is moving out of the building, The RSC shall engage residents in exit planning to support the residents’ successful transition out of the program. The exit plan shall depend on the residents’ needs and preferences, and may include establishing a link to services in the community.
