Job DescriptionDescription: Hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite in either Hartford, CT Our client seeks an Agile Coach to support sustainable agile adoption within a mature, process-oriented environment. The coach will guide teams at various stages of agility, balance agile principles with governance needs, and focus on measurable delivery outcomes. The role requires strong facilitation, coaching across roles, and the ability to operate in hybrid project environments using Scrum, Kanban, and related practices. The coach will build capabilities through training, mentoring, and workshops while engaging stakeholders across levels. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2 JN -042026-106570 #LI-JS1 Responsibilities: • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and development teams in effective agile practices., • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement as needed., • Enable teams to improve their ability to deliver completed work within sprints., • Support teams in developing working agreements and effective collaboration patterns., • Guide teams in adapting agile practices to fit their specific context and constraints., • Work within existing PMO and governance structures to integrate agile approaches., • Support Project Managers in hybrid environments where traditional and agile approaches coexist., • Facilitate workshops for team launches, retrospectives, and continuous improvement sessions., • Contribute to the development of standards and best practices for agile adoption., • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders at all levels., • Translate agile concepts into business value language for leadership., • Identify and help address systemic impediments to team effectiveness., • Develop sustainable team capabilities through training, workshops, and mentoring., • Help teams learn to solve their own problems through effective facilitation., • 7+ years of hands-on agile experience in professional environments., • 3+ years in an agile coaching role supporting multiple teams., • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks., • Demonstrated experience working in traditional or hybrid project management environments., • Practical knowledge of traditional project management approaches and integration with agile practices., • Experience coaching teams through incremental improvement., • Exceptional facilitation skills for workshops, retrospectives, and difficult conversations., • Strong coaching mindset, favoring questions over directives., • Adaptability to adjust approach based on team maturity and context., • Systems thinking with awareness of structures, incentives, and culture., • Communication versatility across technical teams and executives., • Cultural sensitivity for effective work in a global environment., • Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare (preferred)., • Familiarity with scaled agile approaches (preferred)., • Experience with both co-located and distributed teams (preferred)., • Relevant certifications such as CSM, PSM, ICP-ACC (preferred)., • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and technical practices that support agility (preferred).
