Tutors work alongside the Lead Tutor at each location. The 2024-2025 program year for NYPL After School will run from September 30, 2024 to June 12, 2025. Tutors will not work during scheduled program breaks, including holiday closures and days when NYC DOE schools are not in session. Prior to the program’s launch, Tutors will attend training workshops during the weeks of September 16 and September 23, 2024. During the program cycle, Tutors will work 8 hours per week, either Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays, scheduled for four hours a day between 2:00-7:00 PM, with additional hours required for staff meetings, professional development, and program preparation.
