Job DescriptionTitle: Senior Facility Engineer Location: Remote – Anywhere USA (Remote or Hybrid) Hire Type: Direct Hire Salary: $120K–$145K (depending on experience) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401(k) Sterling Engineering is looking for a Senior Facility Engineer to join a highly technical engineering organization. This opportunity offers exposure to complex energy and infrastructure projects and the ability to work remotely while leading high-impact engineering efforts. Job Duties: • Develop specifications, drawings, and design calculations for assigned projects, • Serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert within the engineering discipline, • Lead engineering and design of gas compression facilities, LNG facilities, RNG facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing systems, dehydration units, heaters, filter separators, oil & gas pipelines, metering facilities, and slug catchers, • Develop project objectives, schedules, estimates, and responsibilities by reviewing requirements and coordinating with Program and Project Managers, • Perform and/or review pipe sizing, valve sizing, hydrostatic test design, hydraulic design, compressor and pump designs, • Review vendor drawings to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards, and best practices, • Develop procurement scopes of work, evaluate bids, and provide technical award recommendations, • Specify materials and equipment, prepare data sheets, and write equipment specifications, • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, safety rules, and company policies, • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with engineering contractors, • Mentor, supervise, and train engineering staff; deliver internal technical presentations, • Provide support for engineering manhour estimates, project proposals, and installed cost estimates, • Control project execution by monitoring schedules, design progress, and budgets, • Lead procurement efforts, field engineering activities, and on-site meetings when required, • Present engineering findings, recommendations, and solutions to leadership, • Redline and review PFDs, P&IDs, site plans, and coordinate with drafters to advance drawing packages, • Independently evaluate methodologies, tools, processes, and technologies to improve engineering outcomesQualifications:, • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSME or related discipline), • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license, • Preferred 7+ years of professional engineering experience, including 5+ years in the oil & gas or utility industry, • 5+ years of experience with turbomachinery equipment (compressors, turbines), • Strong working knowledge of:, • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), • Piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, BOMs, and general arrangement drawings, • Familiarity with industry codes and standards including ASME, ANSI, API, NFPA, CSA (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195), • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills, • Ability to work independently with limited direction while exercising sound engineering judgmentQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national
