Job Description JD-Lead Automation Engineer-MedRisk.docx Position Summary The Lead Automation Engineer is responsible for architecting, designing, and leading the implementation of enterprise-grade automation solutions using UiPath and other automation technologies such as Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, and Python/.NET-based automation frameworks. This role aims at bridging business transformation, solution architecture, and delivery leadership — ensuring automations are scalable, secure, reusable, and aligned with enterprise standards. The Lead Automation Engineer will mentor development teams, guide technical design decisions, and drive the organization’s evolution toward hyperautomation and AI-integrated automation. Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Automation Architecture & Solution Design, • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for RPA and intelligent automation initiatives using UiPath and other tools., • Define automation patterns, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks., • Design scalable, modular, and API-driven architectures that combine RPA, low-code, and custom scripting (Python/.NET)., • Architect multi-layered solutions integrating UiPath with enterprise systems., • Evaluate business processes for automation suitability, ROI, and complexity; propose optimal technical approaches., • Ensure alignment of automation design with enterprise architecture and InfoSec policies., • Technical Leadership, Development, and Support Oversight, • Oversee design reviews, code quality, documentation, and compliance with Medrisk S&G., • Develop complex components and integration connectors using C#, Python where out-of-box RPA features are insufficient., • Provide technical feasibility assessments and effort estimates for new automation requests., • Own the solution blueprint — covering infrastructure, credentials, queues, exception handling, and monitoring design., • Collaborate with IT to manage UiPath Orchestrator, Power Automate Environments, and DevOps pipelines., • Provide support for processes/ agents/ bots deployed to production – work closely with production support team and help triage the issues as they come up., • Monitor, analyze processes on a regular basis to make sure they are working as expected in production., • Governance, Quality & Best Practices, • Define and enforce best practices, naming conventions, design templates, and reusable component libraries., • Maintain architecture documentation and update knowledge repositories., • Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of all delivered automations., • Drive process standardization and component reuse across multiple automation teams., • Implement version control (Git, Azure DevOps) and CI/CD pipelines for automation delivery., • Cross-Platform Expertise & Integration, • Design solutions that leverage multiple automation platforms, • Architect hybrid workflows integrating RPA + AI + APIs + data pipelines., • Work with cloud and API teams to develop event-driven automations and reusable integration layers., • Innovation & Hyperautomation, • Drive adoption of Hyperautomation — integrating RPA + AI/ML + Process Mining + Low-Code Platforms., • Explore new automation opportunities through process mining and analytics., • Contribute to the long-term vision for autonomous process orchestration across enterprise systems. Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems., • Professional certifications in UiPath, Power Platform, or Cloud Automation preferred. Required Technical Expertise: Area Required Expertise RPA Platforms 5+ years hands-on with UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, AI Center, Document Understanding). Experience with Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate preferred and other similar tools preferred. Languages & Frameworks Strong coding skills in C#/.NET, Python for automation components, APIs, and custom integrations. Data & Integration Strong SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, ETL). Proficiency in REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, and XML. Cloud & DevOps Familiarity with Cloud (preferably Azure) for automation hosting and Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Architecture & Security Good understanding of enterprise-grade architecture, encryption, and data handling compliance. Project Management Familiarity with Agile / DevOps practices and modern SDLC.
