Location: Union City Office Associate Director of Compliance Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the Associate Director of Compliance will oversee regulatory compliance performance for all existing properties in MidPen's portfolio, including tenant file compliance, agency inspections and audits, waitlist administration, and Section 504. The Associate Director of Compliance must be very well versed in the regulatory requirements including TCAC, HOME, CalHFA, MHSA, HCD programs, HUD, and other local governing authorities and/or programs. Responsibilities: • Supervise Compliance Specialists, Waitlist Administrators, and the Section 504 Coordinator, including coaching, performance management, and staff development., • Partner with Compliance leadership to develop and implement policies that support MidPen's mission and strategy., • Create and maintain communication tools to distribute policies and procedures to Property Management and business partners., • Ensure 100% qualification of move‑in files through in‑house or third‑party review; manage and monitor third‑party compliance vendors., • Oversee systems that ensure site compliance with all regulatory requirements (LIHTC, HUD, Bonds, AHP, HCD, CalHFA, CDBG, HOME, Fair Housing, etc.)., • Coordinate agency audits and inspections, including preparation, scheduling, document submissions, and responses to findings., • Lead waiting list management and develop best practices and centralized systems to ensure fair housing and streamlined occupancy., • Implement ongoing compliance training and support tools for Property Management staff., • Serve as subject matter expert, remain current on regulations, maintain industry relationships, and support cross‑department collaboration.
