Job Description Leasing Agent Location: Tacoma, WA Portfolio: 241 Reports To: Tacoma Area Manager Wage: $25/hour Position Summary The Leasing Agent is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for supporting leasing and occupancy efforts for a in Tacoma. This position is active on-site daily—conducting tours, following up on leads, processing applications, and working closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure units are leased quickly and accurately. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a multi-family environment, engaging directly with a diverse resident base, and balancing leasing activity with administrative accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Leasing & Marketing Support • Conduct in-person and virtual tours across all assigned communities, • Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, • Follow up consistently with prospects to convert leads into qualified residents, • Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings and show-ready units, • Process rental applications, screening, approvals, and denials in compliance with Fair Housing and Washington State landlord-tenant laws, • Prepare leases, addenda, renewals, and move-in documentation accurately and on time, • Maintain a visible, on-site presence across all communities, • Conduct regular property walks to ensure units are clean, show-ready, and presentable, • Coordinate with maintenance on unit turns and leasing priorities, • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective residents, • Assist current residents with leasing-related questions and renewal options, • Communicate professionally and respectfully with a diverse resident base, • Track leasing activity, traffic, and follow-up, • Provide regular updates to associated Property Manager., • Work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance staff to support overall property performance, • 1–2+ years of residential leasing or customer-facing experience preferred, • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws required; Washington State landlord-tenant knowledge preferred, • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, • Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) preferred, • Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented, • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of residents and prospects, • Persistent with follow-up and goal-driven, • Professional, calm, and respectful in challenging situations, • Full-time, hourly position, • Weekday schedule with flexibility as needed, • Hands-on leasing role with clear impact on occupancy, • Localized portfolio keeps travel efficient, • Supportive area-level leadership Targa Real Estate Services is a family owned, full-service property management company providing high-quality management, accounting, and operational support for owners of multifamily, self-storage, commercial, single family, and HOA communities.
