Position Type: Part-time contract (paid) Compensation: $2,000–$3,000 per month, commensurate with experience Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week. Schedule includes some evening and Sunday availability — candidate forums, community events, and volunteer coordination do not always fall during business hours. Duration: Immediate start through June 23, 2026 Location: Hybrid — in-person and remote. In-person presence required in the Riverdale / CD15 area for volunteer events, community events, and field outreach. Reports To: CEO & Chief Community Engagement Officer Community Ties: Bronx residency or CD15 community connections strongly preferred About American Centerpoint American Centerpoint is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to strengthening civic engagement and building a national community of Americans who believe in pragmatic governance, civic responsibility, and results over partisanship. We exist for the millions of Americans who feel left behind by today's polarized political conversation. This summer, American Centerpoint is running a concentrated civic engagement and voter education campaign in New York's 15th Congressional District ahead of the June 23, 2026 Democratic primary. The campaign combines digital outreach, volunteer-powered voter contact through the UpVote platform, and in-person community events to inform, engage, and mobilize voters across CD15. The Role We are looking for an energetic, community-rooted individual to serve as our Volunteer Coordinator and Community Liaison for the duration of this campaign. This is a hands-on, in-the-district role. You will be the primary coordinator and support system for our volunteer team on the ground in CD15 — we already have volunteers in place and are growing what we have built. Your job is to organize, guide, and energize that effort. This role operates with the full support of the CEO and Chief Community Engagement Officer, but requires someone who is comfortable taking initiative and running the volunteer operation day-to-day. You will attend community events as an observer on behalf of American Centerpoint, build relationships across the district, and serve as the connective tissue between leadership strategy and ground-level execution. The right person is resourceful, people-oriented, and genuinely excited about civic engagement. Experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or grassroots outreach is a plus — but deep connections in the Bronx or CD15 community and a serious work ethic matter most. UpVote platform training is provided. What You'll Do Volunteer Management • Serve as the primary day-to-day coordinator and support for an existing team of volunteers working in CD15 — we are growing what is already in place, • Guide, organize, and motivate volunteers throughout the campaign, keeping the effort on track week over week, • Attend and help run three in-person volunteer events: kickoff (May 6–8), mid-campaign check-in (June 3–5), and final GOTV rally (June 19–20), • Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers — answering questions, troubleshooting UpVote issues, and maintaining energy and focus across the team, • Manage the Centerpoint Volunteer WhatsApp group — communicate weekly template activations, script updates, and campaign priorities, • Attend local candidate forums, town halls, and community events on behalf of American Centerpoint — as an observer, to build organizational awareness and community intelligence • Facilitate outreach to campaigns to distribute the candidate questionnaire and follow up on responses, • Conduct on-the-ground voter outreach in businesses, community spaces, and public areas across CD15, • Build relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and civic groups in the district • Represent American Centerpoint's values — nonpartisan, pragmatic, community-centered — in all public-facing interactions What We're Looking For Required • Highly organized and self-directed — able to manage multiple responsibilities and a fast-moving timeline with minimal supervision, • Reliable and responsive — this campaign runs on tight deadlines and real-time communication, • Genuine commitment to civic engagement and community empowerment, • Bronx residency or demonstrated ties to the CD15 community, • Experience in community organizing, political campaigns, voter outreach, or grassroots mobilization, • Familiarity with the Bronx political landscape, community organizations, and civic ecosystem • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a significant plus given the CD15 community What Success Looks Like By June 23, a successful Volunteer Coordinator will have: • Kept the volunteer team organized, informed, and active throughout the full 7-week campaign • Ensured weekly UpVote contact scripts are loaded, communicated, and executed on schedule • Delivered weekly Community Snapshots — real field intelligence that informed the following week's strategy, • Built a visible, trusted presence for American Centerpoint across community organizations and civic spaces in CD15, • Supported the smooth execution of all three in-person volunteer events What We Offer • $2,000–$3,000 per month, commensurate with experience, • Full support from the CEO and Chief Community Engagement Officer throughout the campaign • Complete UpVote platform training — no prior experience with the tool required • A front-row seat to a consequential Bronx primary campaign, • The opportunity to help build something new — American Centerpoint is growing its presence in CD15 and this role is central to that effort, • A mission-driven organization that takes civic engagement seriously American Centerpoint is an equal opportunity organization. Applications ar e reviewed on a rolling basis. Given the campaign timeline, we are moving quickly. Apply as soon as possible. © 2026 American Centerpoint Inc. | Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.
