Credit Specialist (Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000) Sage Search Partners is seeking a Credit Specialist for a wholesale company based in Arlington, TX. In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day credit and collections activity, ensuring timely resolution of past-due balances, accurate credit evaluations, and responsive customer support. In addition to bringing at least four or more years of hands-on credit and collections experience, the ideal candidate communicates confidently with senior leadership, is highly proficient in Excel, and thrives in a fast-moving, small-team environment with strong organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills; prior people leadership, resilience under pressure, and a finance or accounting education (or equivalent experience) are all strong pluses. Responsibilities • Drive collections efforts by reaching out to customers on past-due accounts, resolving declined/expired payment methods, and monitoring customers that exceed established credit limits., • Review, process, and recommend credit decisions on new and existing credit applications in partnership with the Controller and CEO when needed., • Serve as a primary point of contact by responding to credit inquiries, handling reference requests, and managing the incoming call queue., • Maintain accurate account notes and documentation to support credit decisions and escalate issues appropriately. Client Requirements • 4+ years in credit and collections with a track record of reducing delinquency and improving cash flow., • Comfortable advising executive leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations., • Exceptional organization and follow-up skills; able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping details., • Strong analytical capability to interpret account data and navigate complex account challenges., • Excellent written and verbal communication and a solutions-focused mindset., • Prior experience in a lean, credit-centric environment preferred., • Advanced Excel proficiency required., • Composed under pressure with high emotional resilience in urgent or challenging situations., • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred.
