Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerk oversees the accurate and timely movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring all shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions are processed correctly in SAP. This role supports daily warehouse operations, maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and follows standard operating procedures to promote safety, efficiency, and organization. Responsibilities • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and item details against packing slips and purchase orders, and record all receipts accurately in SAP., • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders according to shipping instructions and standard operating procedures., • Operate pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to safely load and unload trucks, move materials, and organize products within the warehouse., • Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels and promptly reconcile any discrepancies., • Use SAP and other computer systems to enter data, track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate required documentation., • Create and apply accurate labels for inbound and outbound materials to ensure proper identification and traceability., • Coordinate shipping activities using carriers such as FedEx and others, ensuring shipments are prepared with correct documentation and on-time dispatch., • Stock, replenish, and organize inventory in designated locations to maintain a clean, efficient, and accessible warehouse layout., • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and equipment operation., • Adhere to safety guidelines at all times, including safe operation of material handling equipment and proper handling of products and packaging materials., • Hands-on experience with SAP for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions., • Proficiency in performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory records., • Experience working as a warehouse clerk or in a similar shipping and receiving role., • Ability to follow and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) in daily work., • Skill in operating pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently., • Strong computer skills, including data entry and basic use of warehouse-related software., • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including labeling, stocking, and order picking., • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and inventory data., • Experience coordinating shipments with carriers such as FedEx or similar services., • unloading trucks, loading outbound freight, and preparing loads for shipment., • Familiarity with warehouse inventory control methods and best practices., • Ability to work both independently and as part of a warehouse team. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials, as well as working with computers and SAP for data entry and inventory tracking. Standard operating procedures guide daily tasks to ensure safety, consistency, and accuracy throughout shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of City Of Industry, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr.
