Job DescriptionDescription: Position Summary: The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with physician orders, clinic protocols, and regulatory standards. This role supports high-quality patient care by ensuring accurate imaging, patient safety, and proper documentation. This position is part-time, non-exempt, and scheduled to work Wednesdays and Fridays. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical indications prior to imaging, 2. Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety, 3. Position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment, 4. Apply radiation safety principles, including shielding and exposure minimization, 5. Review images for quality and completeness prior to provider review, 6. Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record, 7. Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies, 8. Follow infection control, HIPAA, and safety policies, 9. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns, 10. Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic staff, 11. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent, 2. Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, 3. Current ARRT certification or eligibility, 4. Current Texas state licensure or registration, as required, 5. Knowledge of radiographic procedures and safety standards, 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, 7. Able to communicate in English and Spanish is required, 8. Employees must comply with all clinic policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards, including HIPAA, infection control protocols, and radiation safety guidelines. This position is subject to background checks and licensure verification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Prior experience in a clinic or outpatient setting, 2. Experience serving underserved populations, 3. Able to deal professionally, courteously and efficiently with public and all levels of the organization, 4. Able to operate computers and copier fax, 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, practice management system software and electronic health record applications, 6. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills, 7. Demonstrates effective customer relation skills, working with diverse populations, often in stressful fast paced environments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: 1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, 2. Ability to lift and position patients and equipment, 3. Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment, 4. Visual and Clinical healthcare environment with exposure to radiographic equipment. Appropriate safety measures and protocols are required at all times., 5. Auditory ability to perform duties safely, 6. Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop for (long) periods of time, 7. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally/frequently, 8. Ability to work in a stressful environment, 9. Ability to respond to emergency/crisis situations, 10. Exposure to noise, 11. Exposure to blood and/or body fluids
