Job DescriptionSalary: $3,500 - $4,500 Weekly Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer Windows Server Administration (DHCP & NPS Services) Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Systems Engineer with expertise in Windows Server Administration, focusing on Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Network Policy Server (NPS) services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Windows Server environments, along with hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows DHCP and NPS to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our network infrastructure. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of critical network services, and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement solutions that support the overall IT strategy. Key Responsibilities: • Windows Server Administration:, • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2012/2016), ensuring they are configured, optimized, and secured., • Administer Windows DHCP services, including scope management, IP address allocation, leases, and relay configuration., • Configure and manage NPS (Network Policy Server) to implement RADIUS-based authentication and authorization for VPN, Wi-Fi, and other network access services., • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments on-premises., • DHCP Management:, • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available DHCP configurations., • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IP address allocation, lease renewals, and DHCP scope configuration., • Monitor and ensure DHCP service performance, reviewing logs and reports for potential issues., • Set up and manage DHCP servers, including scope configuration and lease management., • NPS Services:, • Implement and configure NPS policies to enforce network security protocols, including 802.1X authentication, VPN connections, and other network access controls., • Perform troubleshooting for RADIUS client connectivity issues and ensure proper integration with other network devices such as switches, wireless controllers, and VPN gateways., • Configure and maintain Network Policy Server (NPS) for network access control and authentication., • Security & Compliance:, • Apply security best practices to the Windows Server environment, ensuring that NPS and DHCP services are secured against unauthorized access., • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements., • Incident and Problem Management:, • Act as an escalation point for network service incidents, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner., • Conduct root cause analysis for complex system failures and implement preventive measures., • Help troubleshoot issues related to Windows Server, DHCP, and NPS., • Automation & Scripting:, • Utilize PowerShell and other scripting tools to automate common tasks related to DHCP, NPS, and Windows Server administration., • Develop and maintain documentation for automated processes, ensuring consistency and repeatability., • Collaboration & Support:, • Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues, deploy new services, and improve the performance of IT systems., • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding DHCP and NPS services., • Collaborate with the networking team to ensure proper integration of server services across hybrid environments., • Provide basic support for Active Directory and Group Policy in hybrid scenarios., • Documentation & Reporting:, • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures., • Prepare regular performance and status reports for management and stakeholders., • Create and maintain documentation for server configurations and procedures. Required Qualifications: • Education:, • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field., • Experience:, • 7 years of experience in IT support or administration., • 7+ years of experience working in a Windows Server administration role, with a focus on DHCP and NPS services., • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012 or 2016)., • Proven experience in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of DHCP and NPS services in an enterprise environment., • Technical Skills:, • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server DHCP and NPS configurations, as well as related technologies (RADIUS, 802.1X, VPN, etc.)., • Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, and routing., • Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate server and network tasks., • Strong understanding of Windows security policies and group policies., • Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems and core services., • Familiarity with DHCP and its role in network infrastructure., • Knowledge of network authentication and access control concepts., • Certifications:, • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2012 or 2016 or equivalent., • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification., • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 II Security Certification. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with PowerShell scripting., • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting)., • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V., • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and other critical network services., • Experience with cloud environments or hybrid cloud infrastructure., • Secret Clearance.
