Position Summary The Concession Stand Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or more concession locations, ensuring safe food handling, excellent guest service, accurate cash control, strong team performance, and clean/efficient stand operations. This is a hands-on leadership role—managers lead from the front, jump in during rushes, and set the tone for professionalism and fun. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service • Set and model the standard for friendly, fast, and accurate service., • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally; escalate issues appropriately., • Maintain speed-of-service and quality standards during peak periods.Team Leadership & Staffing, • Train, coach, and motivate attendants to meet service, safety, and performance expectations., • Assign positions and manage break schedules to maintain coverage and efficiency., • Provide clear shift direction, feedback, and accountability., • Assist with hiring recommendations and onboarding support (as needed)., • Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture.Food Safety, Quality & Cleanliness, • Enforce proper food handling, storage, rotation (FIFO), labeling, and temperature controls., • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company policies., • Maintain a clean, organized stand—including prep areas, equipment, storage, and guest-facing areas., • Monitor product quality and portioning to protect brand standards and food cost.Cash Control & Point-of-Sale (POS), • Follow strict cash handling and register procedures., • Complete end-of-shift cashouts, deposits, and reconciliation (as assigned)., • Monitor for shortages/overages and address patterns with training and accountability., • Ensure accurate menu programming/price adherence and smooth POS operations.Inventory, Ordering & Waste Control, • Track inventory levels and report needs to operations/ownership., • Receive deliveries, verify counts, rotate stock, and store product correctly., • Reduce waste through proper prep planning, portion control, and product rotation., • Keep stand stocked for peak periods (cups, lids, napkins, utensils, ingredients, etc.).Operations & Stand Readiness, • Execute opening and closing checklists (equipment start-up/shut-down, cleaning, stocking, safety)., • Coordinate with park operations and follow site-specific rules and procedures., • Identify maintenance needs; troubleshoot minor issues and report repairs promptly., • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety rules (hot surfaces, sharp tools, slips/falls, etc.). QualificationsRequired • Prior leadership experience in food service, concessions, retail, or hospitality (or equivalent experience)., • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to stay calm during high-volume rushes., • Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and balancing registers., • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance., • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during peak season.Preferred, • Previous concessions, quick-service restaurant (QSR), or amusement park experience., • Food safety training (e.g., ServSafe) or willingness to obtain., • Experience with inventory control, scheduling, or multi-unit operations.
