Job Description The Housekeeper is responsible for daily organization, coordination, inspection, and presentation of the interior household environment. This role focuses on maintaining order, readiness, visual standards, and smooth daily flow, particularly within the kitchen, dining areas, wardrobes, bathrooms, garage, and high-use spaces. The Housekeeper ensures the home remains structured, organized, visually polished, and prepared throughout the day. Primary Responsibilities Kitchen Oversight, Organization & Food Inventory • Remain primarily stationed in or near the kitchen during core hours, • Maintain cleanliness and order of:, • Counters, • Pantry, • Refrigerator, • Kitchen drawers and cabinets, • Ensure five large water bottles are stocked in pantry, • Remove expired items and monitor food freshness, • Manage household food inventory, including:, • Monitoring stock levels, • Tracking freshness and rotation, • Coordinating restocking of groceries and essentials, • Keep bar area organized and properly stocked, • Maintain crumb-free drawers and orderly surfaces, • Ensure kitchen remains reset and inspection-ready at all times Silver, China & Serviceware Management • Maintain organization and care of:, • Silver, • China, • Crystal, • Serving pieces, • Linens, • Ensure proper cleaning, polishing, storage, and rotation, • Prepare appropriate table settings for daily meals and guests, • Act as server during meals when required, • Ensure proper post-meal reset and storage Household Organization & Presentation • Maintain order of:, • Common areas, • Children’s shared spaces, • Entryways, • Frequently used rooms, • Ensure draperies are free of dust and debris, • Ensure patio areas are cleared and ready for use, • Maintain garage organization so space remains orderly and functional, • Monitor household lighting to ensure lights are turned on and off at appropriate times for ambiance, safety, and efficiency Seasonal Décor, Floral & Plant Management • Coordinate and execute seasonal décor transitions, • Store seasonal décor properly when rotated, • Maintain visual consistency throughout the home, • Arrange and maintain weekly fresh flowers, • Replace floral arrangements as needed to maintain presentation standards, • Water and maintain indoor plants on a consistent schedule Wardrobes & Closet Organization • Maintain principals’ and children’s closets in organized condition, • Coordinate seasonal wardrobe transitions, • Ensure drawers are arranged per established guidelines, • Confirm clothing is returned properly by the Laundress, • Ensure attire readiness for school, church, activities, and events Bathroom Readiness & Inspection • Inspect all bathrooms daily to ensure they are properly stocked with:, • Defined shampoo, • Conditioner, • Body wash, • Toilet paper, • Custom towels designated for each bathroom, • Ensure towels are placed correctly and presentation remains consistent, • Coordinate with the Laundress to ensure towel rotation is timely, • Confirm bathrooms are guest-ready at all times Dog Care & Daily Management • Oversee daily dog routines including:, • Feeding, • Water checks, • Diaper management, • Bathroom schedule compliance, • Ensure collars are charged and remotes stored properly, • Maintain dog supply organization, • Coordinate with maintenance regarding grounds cleanliness Daily Readiness & Coordination • Ensure daily opening readiness of kitchen and common areas, • Support evening reset of kitchen and dining areas, • Maintain inventory lists for kitchen, food supplies, serviceware, décor, and high-use areas, • Coordinate supply updates with Director of Household Operations Housekeeper Success Indicators • Kitchen remains orderly and functional throughout the day, • Food inventory is properly managed and never depleted, • Serviceware and linens are properly maintained and accessible, • Fresh flowers, indoor plants, and seasonal décor are consistently maintained, • Closets remain organized and ready, • Bathrooms are consistently stocked and properly arranged, • Lighting and presentation are managed intentionally, • Garage space remains orderly, • High-traffic areas remain structured and controlled, • The home feels visually polished and guest-ready at all times
