Job Description Hiring for Electricians in Nashville, TN Job Description This role focuses on installing EMT conduit in a large-scale commercial new construction environment. You will primarily run and bend 3/4 inch and 1 inch EMT conduit for in-wall and overhead installations on a major institutional project. As the project advances, your responsibilities may expand to include pulling wire and installing lighting and devices, but conduit installation will remain your primary focus for the foreseeable future. Responsibilities • Install EMT conduit, primarily 3/4 inch and 1 inch, throughout a large commercial new construction project., • Perform in-wall and overhead conduit installations during the rough-in stage of construction., • Accurately bend EMT conduit using appropriate tools and techniques to meet project specifications., • Read and interpret blueprints to determine conduit routing, locations, and installation requirements., • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete daily installation tasks., • Coordinate with other trades and team members on a large, busy job site to maintain workflow and safety., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and site safety standards., • Follow all site rules, including start times, sign-in procedures, and participation in pre-shift stretch and flex., • Adapt to evolving project needs, including transitioning to additional tasks such as pulling wire and installing lighting and devices as the project progresses., • At least 4 years of experience working as a commercial electrician or conduit installer., • Proven experience bending and running EMT conduit, specifically 3/4 inch and 1 inch sizes., • Hands-on experience with in-wall and overhead conduit installation on commercial new construction projects., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to plan and execute conduit runs., • Proficiency using power tools and standard electrical hand tools for installation work., • Solid understanding of OSHA safety practices and the ability to work safely on an active construction site., • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks for a full shift, including standing, lifting, and working overhead., • Experience working on large-scale commercial projects such as data centers, fulfillment centers, hospitals, or similar complex facilities., • Any safety certification such as OSHA 10 is a strong plus., • Experience in commercial new construction environments with large crews., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume job site with hundreds of workers. You will join a major, long-term commercial construction project that offers stable, full-time hours and the opportunity to stay through project completion based on performance. The role provides consistent overtime potential when the project requires it, allowing you to increase your earnings while building valuable large-project experience. You will work with a professional team on a high-profile facility, gaining exposure to complex commercial systems and modern construction practices. There is potential for contract-to-hire after six months, giving you a pathway to longer-term opportunities if you perform well and wish to continue. Work Environment This position is based on a large new construction project in north Nashville, TN. The site is a large commercial job with more than 400 workers on location, creating a busy, fast-paced environment with multiple trades working simultaneously. Typical hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch break. You should expect to work approximately 40 to 45 hours per week, and you must be open to mandatory overtime when the project requires it. The project is expected to continue for at least 14 more months, with completion anticipated around June 2027, and strong performers can remain on the job through the end of the project. The site provides a company-issued hard hat and safety vest, and will supply cut-level-3 or higher gloves if you do not already have them. You must bring your own basic hand tools, while any specialty tools needed for specific tasks will be provided on site. Parking is available at the construction site, with a main lower lot and additional parking up a nearby hill; arriving at least 30 minutes early is recommended to secure parking and ensure timely sign-in. The environment follows standard construction safety practices and OSHA guidelines, with a strong emphasis on safe tool use, personal protective equipment, and adherence to site procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
