Position Overview The EMR Integration Software Engineer is a senior individual contributor role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable integrations between Green Security and leading EMR platforms, with a primary focus on Epic and Cerner. Reporting into the engineering organization, this role will be a key technical partner to Product, Security, and Customer teams, ensuring that integrations are robust, compliant, and aligned with Green Security’s platform strategy. This position owns end‑to‑end delivery of EMR integrations, including requirements definition, interface design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. The EMR Integration Software Engineer will also help extend Green Security’s integration footprint into adjacent systems—including physical access control and ERP—expanding the value and reach of the Green Security platform. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Green Security and EMR systems, with specific expertise in Epic (e.g., Bridges, Interconnect, FHIR APIs) and Cerner (e.g., Millennium, HealtheIntent)., • Implement and support interfaces using healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, and CCD/CDA, as well as RESTful APIs and integration engines (e.g., Mirth, Corepoint, Cloverleaf)., • Collaborate with Product, Security, and Customer teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into reliable, secure integration designs., • Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize integration workflows to ensure data quality, performance, and high availability., • Partner with customer technical teams to plan and execute implementations, upgrades, and migrations for Epic and Cerner connections., • Contribute to Green Security’s broader integration strategy by exploring and implementing connections to ERP platforms (Workday, Oracle, SAP) and physical access systems (Lenel, CCURE), where applicable., • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and best practices for EMR and enterprise integrations., • 5+ years of experience as a software or integration engineer, with at least 3+ years focused on EMR/EHR integrations., • Direct, hands‑on experience integrating with both Epic and Cerner in a healthcare or health‑tech environment., • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD/CDA) and common integration patterns (APIs, messaging, interface engines)., • Experience working with at least one commercial integration engine (e.g., Mirth, Corepoint, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody)., • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control, CI/CD, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)., • Experience with any of the following is a plus: ERP integrations (Workday, Oracle, SAP), physical access control systems (Lenel, CCURE), or other healthcare systems (PACS, LIS, cardiovascular, or ancillary systems)., • Shape the integration layer of a fast‑growing platform at the center of healthcare credentialing, compliance, and access management., • High‑impact technical role with direct visibility to Product, Security, and Executive leadership., • Opportunity to work with leading EMR, ERP, and access control technologies and influence how healthcare organizations manage secure vendor and partner access at scale.
