Join our oncology travel nurse team in a Level II Trauma short-term acute care hospital. • Title: Oncology Registered Nurse (Oncology RN) – Travel Nurse, • Location: Bridgeport, CT 06610 (Connecticut travel nursing opportunity), • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week, • Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, • Unit: West Tower 7 – Oncology (MedSurg overflow as needed), • Assignment Type: Travel assignment / Travel RN, • Start Date: April 3, 2026, • End Date: June 26, 2026, • Duration: 12 weeks, • Shifts: 3 x 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), • Hours per Week: 36, • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed, • Charting/EHR: EPIC experience required, • Scrubs: Royal blue, • Parking: Free parking available, • Minimum 2 years recent Oncology RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or prior travel experience), • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; CT RN license must be in process before submission, • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, • Chemo certification required (ONS / ONCC preferred) — must be current for chemotherapy administration, • EPIC charting experience required (electronic medical record proficiency), • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions), • Ability to float to MedSurg units as needed; flexible to cover oncology and med-surg overflow, • One professional reference required, • Travelers only — local candidates within 75 miles not accepted (CT travel nursing only), • Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric oncology/hematology patients in an inpatient oncology unit, • Safely administer chemotherapy, manage side effects, and perform continuous infusion and IV push chemotherapy per protocol, • Manage central venous access devices including ports, PICC lines, and central lines, • Perform phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy care, and other common oncology procedures, • Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs; participate in rapid response teams and emergency situations, • Implement neutropenic, isolation, and infection control precautions, • Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and discharge planning, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social work Apply now: Submit your resume and RN license details to be considered for this Oncology RN travel assignment.
