Job Description Position Summary The Gasket Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the gasket production department at our company. This role ensures efficient workflow, high-quality production, on-time delivery, and a safe, productive work environment. The Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and direction to team members while driving continuous improvement and supporting customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to gasket department employees, including training on product knowledge, productivity standards, schedules, quality control, safety practices, and attendance expectations., • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction by supporting gasket-related inquiries and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs., • Evaluate incoming gasket inquiries to ensure alignment with company standards and OEM agreements., • Schedule, input, and maintain accurate documentation for all new gasket orders and production requirements., • Monitor incoming and outgoing orders to ensure timely, accurate, and complete fulfillment., • Develop and adjust operator schedules based on workload demands to optimize turnaround times and resource utilization., • Analyze gasket sales data and production trends; generate stock production lists based on usage and forecasting., • Maintain high standards of quality and productivity across all department operations., • Assess and prioritize utility needs for special material requests, custom jobs, and trimming requirements., • Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and throughput., • Track, forecast, and procure necessary materials, supplies, and tooling to support uninterrupted production., • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and expansion of the gasket mold library., • Support the development and implementation of new systems, procedures, and process improvements., • Collaborate with Sales to support existing customers and identify new business opportunities., • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork., • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees as needed. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing supervision or a related leadership role., • Strong knowledge of production processes, materials, and manufacturing best practices., • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills., • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities., • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and customers., • Proficiency in scheduling, workflow coordination, and productivity optimization., • Commitment to quality standards, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean manufacturing experience preferred)., • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
