Job Description Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description This role focuses on supporting the design, assembly, testing, and verification of satellite propulsion systems within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The engineering technician executes detailed work instructions and test procedures, maintains critical documentation and databases, and contributes to root-cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles while adhering to established standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements., • Perform propulsion system assembly, testing, and quality control tasks by following detailed work instructions and test procedures., • Develop and maintain propulsion assembly documentation at the subassembly level, including assembly reports, non-conformance reports, test procedures, test setups, tooling information, and manufacturing drawings., • Maintain and update test and inventory databases related to propulsion production activities to ensure accurate and traceable records., • Troubleshoot and support investigations into component anomalies and failures, including performing root-cause analysis and recommending dispositions., • Develop reference performance test plans and procedures, identify required hardware, and design appropriate test setups for propulsion subsystems., • Provide technical support for the production and testing of satellite propulsion systems throughout the product lifecycle., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support requirements validation, test architecture development, implementation of production work instructions, and verification of propulsion subsystems., • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with subsystem leads, systems engineering, integration and test teams, and other cross-functional partners., • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electric assembly and testing., • Proficiency in testing activities related to systems and associated hardware., • Hands-on experience working with wire harnesses in an engineering or production environment., • Experience with electromechanical systems, including assembly, operation, or testing., • Ability to adapt and remain effective in a fast-paced and dynamic setting., • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare documentation and present technical information. This is an onsite role with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position is primarily based on the manufacturing floor, working closely with production, test, and engineering teams. Primary Duties: • Attends and contributes to pre-construction meetings upon request., • Reports directly to Electrical Field Operations Manager and functions as an extension of that position., • Attends on site coordination meetings with customer and salesman upon request of the Electrical Field Operations Manager., • Aid in the education and enforcement of company policy and procedures, including site safety concerns., • Reads and interpret blueprints, plans, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembly and installation of assigned products., • Work directly with local Fire Marshalls, Inspectors, and other officials in our effort to perform our work according to the rules and guidelines set forth by State and National Agencies., • Stage and select materials based on information provided by salesman and estimator, as indicated on drawings or other written instruction, or as indicated by standard industry practices to complete the task at hand., • Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines in work area to determine actual locations of system components, as described in drawings., • Operate tools and equipment necessary to safely and efficiently complete assigned tasks., • Work with apprentice to set goals for personal production based on job schedule and budget requirements., • Review specific safety events for projects. Develop and utilize JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for all work performed and on a daily basis., • Periodically reviews work plan to assure that all information, tools and materials required are present prior to beginning work., • Understands, complies, and enforces JF Petroleum Group safety policies., • Understands, complies, and enforces OSHA safety requirements., • Participates in safety programs provided by employer., • Considers work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminates the hazard or reports the problem to the Department Manager for resolution prior to beginning work., • Ensures the use of proper safety equipment at all times and by all employees under his or her direction., • Reports accidents or injuries to management immediately.
