Job Description Job Title: Millwork Assembler Job Description The Millwork Assembler performs a variety of assembly operations to support the production of cabinets and related millwork products. This role assembles parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools, works at different workstations as production needs require, and ensures that all finished items meet established quality and safety standards. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE ROLE PLEASE USE THIS LINK TO SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW WITH THE RECRUITER JOHN ABOUT THE POSITION! https://talentassistant.aerotek.com/assistant/bookings/t2T-76SY Responsibilities • Plan and implement the assembly process by reading and interpreting set-up sheets and work orders to determine required materials, tools, and steps., • Insert, position, clamp, splice, and fit materials and parts according to specifications, using both hand tools and saws., • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, nail guns, routers, and other carpentry equipment, to assemble cabinets and related components., • Measure and mark materials accurately to ensure assembled items meet specific quality, dimensional, and specification requirements., • Perform quality checks on materials and finished assemblies to identify defects, damages, or non-conforming components and take corrective action as needed., • Follow all safety procedures and practices consistently to prevent injury to self and co-workers and maintain a safe work area., • Maintain clean and organized workstations, tools, and equipment to support efficient production flow., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and adjust to changing product and workstation needs., • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned to support overall production operations. Essential Skills • Minimum of 2+ years of carpentry experience in an assembly or related environment., • Minimum of 2+ years of carpentry assembly experience working with wood products and millwork components., • Minimum of 2+ years of experience using hand tools in a production, construction, or woodworking setting., • Proficiency with hand and power tools, including nail guns, chop saws, table saws, routers, and other common carpentry equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders to guide assembly tasks., • Strong blueprint reading skills to understand measurements, layouts, and assembly requirements., • Accurate tape measure use for precise measuring and marking of materials., • Experience in a construction or woodworking environment using a variety of tools to cut, saw, staple, and nail components., • Ability to perform general labor tasks associated with cabinet and millwork assembly., • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards in all assembled products. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience working with door panels or similar millwork components., • Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with multiple workstations., • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tools and processes., • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals., • Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent attendance. Work Environment Work takes place in a warehouse and production setting that may involve temperature variations, exposure to dust, increased noise levels, mechanical parts, and occasional contact with hazardous chemicals. The role requires clear, close vision for reading measurements, work orders, and for assembling parts, as well as visual acuity to operate power tools safely. Daily tasks involve repetitive motion of the wrists and hands, and may require reaching above shoulder level and below the waist. The position requires the ability to safely squat, bend, climb, lift and carry up to 80 lbs., and push or pull up to 70 lbs., along with frequent grasping, talking, hearing, and standing or walking for prolonged periods. The dress code consists of closed-toed shoes, jeans, and a work shirt suitable for a production environment. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
