Job Description We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for resolving IT-related issues for our clients and be involved in the implementation of DTS Services for new and existing clients. You will be exposed to a wide variety of simple and complex client networks that require an individual who loves a challenge and getting the job done. There will be a requirement for travel to client sites in and around Metro Detroit for emergencies, project work, and periodic on-site support visits when needed. All candidates are expected to provide their own reliable transportation to and from DTS and client locations and can expect to be provided mileage-based reimbursement for travel expenses. Our Sterling Heights office will be the home office for this salaried position. DTS also provides both a generous Sales Referral Bonus and an employee referral bonus open to all staff! Responsibilities: • Provide general technical assistance with computer hardware and software in a business environment., • Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically via remote access., • Recommend hardware and software improvements based on our company standards and offerings, • Track customer issues and resolutions, • Provide timely documentation of work performed and keep all documentation current., • Implementation of DTS Services to new and existing clients, • Participate in paid on-call rotation, • Manage your time efficiently to plan and execute projects with an emphasis on effective communication, • Able to work independently Qualifications: • Previous experience in an IT Service Desk environment, • Ability to communicate IT concepts and directions effectively and clearly., • Ability to build rapport with clients and provide white-glove service with a focus on excellent communication., • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, • Positive and professional demeanor, • High degree of punctuality, • Basic understanding of computer networking, • Strong interest in IT and Cyber Security with a basic understanding of common cybersecurity controls Bonus Experience Areas: • PBX / VOIP Concepts, Implementation, and Management, • Technical IT Project implementation (Server, Cloud, Network), • IT Integration experience, • Previous experience implementing new Microsoft Windows AD environments, • Previous experience supporting new Microsoft Windows AD environments, • Previous experience implementing major changes to or upgrading windows server networks, • Previous experience supporting Windows server networks / AD, • Previous experience with Microsoft 365, • Server experience (design, build, maintain), • Virtualization Experience, • Public Cloud experience ( Azure preferred ), • Advanced Networking knowledge (Email, DNS, TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Subnets, Virtual Networking, Cloud Networking), • Server Concepts, Implementation, Monitoring, and Management (Windows, Linux, RDS, AVD, SQL), • Microsoft 365 / Azure management, • Email Security Concepts, Implementation, and Management, • Fortinet Fortigate Experience, • Firewall management, • Windows Active Directory User Management, • Network Troubleshooting, • WAN/LAN Networking, • Strong understanding of Wireless Networking technologies and their implementation and management, • Understanding of DNS, • VPN Concepts, Management, and Implementation, • BCDR (Corporate Backup) Implementation / Management, • SDWAN Concepts, Implementation, ManagementCompany DescriptionAt DTS, we specialize in partnering with business owners and managers to help them achieve and surpass their IT, Cyber Security, and Communications objectives.
