About the Role: As a Quality Control Inspector, you report directly to the Chief Inspector and are responsible for visually and functionally inspecting aircraft and components during all phases of maintenance within the Tech Ops department to ensure safety and adherence to company standards. You work in a safe manner, eliminate waste, and deliver a quality product on time. You determine aircraft airworthiness and return the aircraft to service in accordance with FARs and the JSX GMM. A Day in the Life: Your day will be dynamic and detail-driven, centered on ensuring every aircraft is inspected, documented, and maintained to the highest safety and quality standards. Typical responsibilities include: • Aircraft & Component Inspections: Obtain and interpret work cards, review inspection requirements, and complete visual inspections of aircraft areas opened by AMTs—including fuel tanks, empennage, cargo areas, underfloor sections, fuselage skin, engines, pylons, wings, flight control surfaces, flight decks, and landing gear., • Delivering Airworthy Aircraft: Provide safe, reliable, on-time, airworthy aircraft that meet all customer requirements., • Airworthiness Sign-Off: Complete logbook entries and release aircraft as airworthy for test flights or in-flight operation checks., • Maintenance Documentation: Ensure crewmembers’ paperwork is completed promptly and accurately, using proper technical data, and send all completed aircraft maintenance records to the Quality Department., • Parts Handling & Compliance: Process and handle all parts according to the Company General Maintenance Manual (GMM)., • Team Collaboration: Promote teamwork and cooperation with all crewmembers to ensure smooth operations., • Equipment Operation: Safely operate aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) such as power supplies, hydraulic rigs, scissor lifts, and non-powered stands., • Component Removal & Installation: Operate and supervise the use of special support equipment for removing and installing major components., • Asset Security: Ensure aircraft components and company property are securely and safely stored at all times., • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of operational needs., • Professional Standards: Consistently adhere to professional standards and company expectations., • Required Inspection Protocols: Ensure no inspector performs a Required Inspection (RII) on work they personally completed., • Work Order Management: Initiate work orders based on inspection findings., • Be Part of a Team That Values You: Join a tight-knit, supportive team of professionals who are passionate about aviation and committed to safety and excellence., • No Two Days Are the Same: From troubleshooting to routine checks, you’ll enjoy a fast-paced, engaging work environment., • Make a Tangible Impact: Your attention to detail and technical expertise directly contribute to flight safety and an exceptional Customer experience. We’re looking for someone who is: • Detail-Oriented: You understand that precision matters – especially when it comes to aircraft performance., • Safety-Oriented: You instinctively prioritize safety in every action and hold yourself and others accountable to the highest safety standards., • Organized: You can effectively manage tasks and prioritize under tight timelines without missing a step., • Proactive: You anticipate needs, take initiative, and solve problems after they arise., • Collaborative: You work well across departments, valuing communication and teamwork to achieve common goals., • Critical Thinker: You can quickly assess situations and make sound, safety-first decisions., • High school diploma/GED, • 5 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance, and servicing of commercial aircraft, • Experience in the use of maintenance reference materials, including Manufacturer's Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Manuals, etc., • Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs, • Capable of interpreting drawings, blueprints, Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and any other related documents required., • Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds, • Ability to work at heights above 10 feet, • Ability to work outdoors, • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity, including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing., • Available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends., • Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with the DOT and FAA guidelines., • Ability to travel to other locations to perform inspections, • Current and valid Driver’s license required., • Current and valid Passport required., • Current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required., • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage high-stress situations, • Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Office Pay & Perks: Compensation is $46.00 /hour.
