Job DescriptionJob Title: Finish (Interior) Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on interior commercial finish carpentry within a large healthcare facility, with the opportunity to support rough and form carpentry as needed. You will install doors, frames, hardware, cabinetry, and related finishes, while helping maintain a safe, clean jobsite and supporting the overall construction schedule. Responsibilities • Perform interior commercial finish carpentry work in an active healthcare environment., • Install hollow metal door frames accurately and securely., • Set and hang doors to required specifications and tolerances., • Install door hardware, including hinges, locks, closers, and other related components., • Install backing in kitchens and bathrooms for cabinetry, bathroom partitions, and miscellaneous bathroom accessories., • Install base and wall cabinets in kitchen areas according to layout and plans., • Install tabletops on base cabinets, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and finish., • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to complete tasks correctly., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for all carpentry tasks., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the project., • Follow all site-specific safety requirements and comply with OSHA standards., • Participate in additional background and site access processes required by the hospital., • Work Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., • Support rough and form carpentry activities if interior work is limited, as project needs require., • Demonstrate dependability by arriving on time, working scheduled shifts, and meeting project deadlines., • Handle and move materials and equipment, including lifting up to 50 pounds independently.Essential Skills, • Proven commercial construction experience, specifically in interior and finish carpentry., • Experience installing hollow metal door frames, doors, and door hardware in commercial settings., • Ability to install cabinetry, tabletops, and backing for bathroom and kitchen fixtures., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings., • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry., • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training (required prior to starting on site)., • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently to meet project schedules., • Demonstrated dependability and consistent attendance., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently., • Willingness to complete required background checks and additional screening processes for work in a hospital environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with both rough carpentry and finish carpentry in commercial projects., • Familiarity with formwork and concrete-related carpentry tasks., • Previous experience working on large commercial projects such as hospitals, schools, industrial, or manufacturing facilities., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions and task assignments., • Comfort working in areas that may be dusty, dirty, or under active construction.Why Work Here? Work Environment You will primarily work indoors on a major hospital project, performing interior finish carpentry in an active commercial construction environment. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Work may occasionally shift to outdoor tasks on the form carpentry side of the business if interior work slows, although this is not expected to be frequent based on current workload. The role involves using a variety of hand tools and power tools, working from blueprints, and coordinating with other trades on site. The job can at times be dirty and physically demanding, with regular lifting, bending, and working in areas under active construction. Projects include heavy commercial buildings such as hospitals, schools, industrial, and manufacturing facilities, with strict safety and site-access requirements, including additional background processes specific to the hospital environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
