Job DescriptionSalary: $40,000 annually (starting) Active Learning Centers is an award winning, family owned, Child Care looking experienced childcare managers. Purpose of the Position We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and organized Assistant Director to join our childcare team! As the Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Center Director to ensure that our center provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. Youll support the team, help oversee daily operations, and communicate effectively with families to ensure an exceptional experience. The staff at Active Learning Centers is dedicated to creating an atmosphere that fosters learning, leadership, and fun! Children look forward to their time here and often refer to it as "camp" all year long! We get to know each child as an individual and understand what motivates them. We design activities that engage the children's minds and bodies and teach them the value of teamwork. We respect children's need for space and independence, and help them appreciate the differences in all people. Scope Planning, overseeing, coordinating, and leading the daily academic and non-academic activities of the childcare while complying with all relevant PA state regulations and Active Learning Center policies and procedures. Managing all aspects of the teaching staff and develops additional learning opportunities to expand the current program and enhance enrollment. The assistant director is expected to learn all aspects of being the director and will fulfill the role of the director in the directors absence. All applicants must have a degree in Education, at least 18 years of age, and a clear background check. Must be willing to travel to all locations and have reliable transportation. Working hours will vary from 6:30am - 6:30pm daily, candidate must be available for varied hours Monday to Friday.
