Position Summary This position provides general nursing support for the Adult Psychiatry Department in collaboration with the psychiatric providers and other medical staff to perform patient-centric, safe, effective, timely, and efficient patient care. Responsibilities include providing telephone triage services for the patients of four psychiatric providers, utilizing nursing assessment and intervention in that role, coordinating with psychiatric providers to address the triage calls, accurate and timely documentation, responding to medication refill requests, addressing prior authorization requests for medications, administering long acting injectable medications to a small subset of our patient population, and managing the tracking of things like sample medications and lab results. Additionally, providing coverage and assistance to the rest of the nursing team as needed, including being able to do vitals on patients seen in clinic, and providing support to the psychiatric providers in the clinical management of patients. Minimum Qualifications • Associate degree or higher in a nursing program, • Current Minnesota license as a registered nurse, • Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing program, • Certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse (RN,C) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, • Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations., • Five years of psychiatric nursing experience Oakdale, MN As an essential healthcare provider, Canvas Health follows all local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions.
