Who We're Looking For • A strong people leader --- you coach in the moment, give clear direction, bring out the best in people, and love being a part of their growth, • Friendly and passionate about hospitality --- you're always leading by example to make a customer's day, • Detail obsessed ---you hold a high bar for product quality, cleanliness, and organization, and ensure standards are met consistently across your team, • Operationally minded --- you act with intent, purpose, and ownership to keep shifts running smoothly, efficiently, and on rhythm, • Adaptable and solutions-oriented --- you stay calm under pressure and flex as things change in a fast-paced environment, • Passionate about coffee and/or matcha --- you lead by example and share that enthusiasm with your team, • Inclusive team builder --- you foster a positive, respectful environment and know how to bring different personalities together What You'll Own • Lead the shift with clarity and confidence directing, coaching, and supporting the team while owning the floor, • Train new team members alongside your General Manager and the Training Team, • Continue to train others as we evolve to ensure we are achieving our standards across product quality, safety, and hospitality, • Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular, • Step in to handle customer or team issues in a calm, positive, and solutions-oriented way, • Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times, • Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry, • Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers, • Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processes. Additional Information: • Operating Hours: Monday--Thursday, 7:00 AM--7:00 PM; Friday--Sunday, 7:00 AM--8:00 PM, with flexibility required as hours may adjust based on business needs., • Training: Shift Leads will participate in a required training program in NYC from May 15--May 21. We're excited to bring the team together for this experience, and all travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be covered by Blank Street.
