On a variable shift, you’ll partner with expert mechanics to install systems, route wiring, apply sealant, and verify quality — all while working to world-class safety standards. What you’ll do • Champion safety on every task, use required PPE, and follow established procedures without compromise., • Deliver quality work by interpreting blueprints, specs, and electronic work instructions; verify workmanship and remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD)., • Complete foundational new‑hire training and maintain all required certifications., • Use computers confidently in a fast-paced production setting to access work instructions and record work., • Operate mechanical lifts (ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts) and handle a wide range of hand and power tools, multimeters, and continuity testers., • Install aircraft systems and interiors: tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, and interior components., • Perform electrical tasks: route wire harnesses, terminate connectors, and mate electronic components., • Work fiber optics: clean and inspect, perform light-loss testing, route, and install., • Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes., • Work in confined spaces and use a respirator when tasks require it., • Work around energized equipment and sustained production noise.Physical aspects of the role, • Finger manipulation and keyboarding; frequent head/neck rotation, flexion/extension., • Lifting and carrying 10–35 lbs., • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting at the waist, and reaching overhead. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. Assessment and training Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. You will receive an email invitation at the address you provided in your application. From the date of the invitation, you will have 5 days to complete the assessment. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications. Basic qualifications • Willing and able to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) as business needs dictate., • Meet the physical demands listed above., • Lift/carry up to 10–35 lbs., • Work safely with high-hazard chemicals using provided protective equipment., • Obtain and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required., • 1+ year using software applications (internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or specialized applications)., • 1+ year following detailed work instructions; reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specs; plus successful completion of English-language training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations., • 1+ year in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field (including equivalent military experience) using basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic tools.Preferred qualifications, • 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • 3+ years in manufacturing, aerospace, and/or equivalent military service., • 3+ years installing aircraft system components (tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, interiors)., • 3+ years Automotive/Diesel/Heavy equipment mechanical experience., • 3+ years in wire routing, dressing, and hook‑up/mating connections.
