Role Overview The Event Activations & PR Specialist is the heartbeat of our on-the-ground marketing. You will spend your days getting the DM Vans story out where people live, work, and play, from farmers markets and festivals to mountain towns and national expos. You will plan and run events, support PR efforts, build partnerships, and make sure our marketing van is always in motion and in front of the right people. This is a remote, field-based role centered around Denver and the Front Range. Most days, you will be in the van connecting with people, managing activations, or helping tell our story through real experiences. You will work closely with the Creative Content Specialist and the Director of Sales & Marketing to bring campaigns, PR, and storytelling together in a cohesive, on-the-ground way. This role is roughly 50% events and activations, 20% PR and storytelling, 20% partnerships and community, and 10% brand operations and collaboration. We are a small, mobile, hands-on team. Give van tours, talk with people, and create authentic moments that leave a lasting impression., • Coordinate with the Sales Team to schedule van showings and open-house days for prospective customers., • Keep the marketing van clean, organized, and ready. It is your mobile HQ and our brand’s first impression., • Maintain the national events calendar and travel around the country for expos, trade shows, and special campaigns., • Support the planning and execution of PR initiatives that share the DM Vans story locally and nationally., • Help manage media outreach, press coverage, and event-driven storytelling., • Build and maintain authentic relationships with journalists, creators, and outdoor lifestyle publications., • Create and maintain press materials and media kits for product launches and brand campaigns., • Collaborate with the Creative Content Specialist to align what is happening in the field with what is being shared online., • Build relationships with like-minded brands, creators, and event organizers that align with DM Vans’ mission., • Collaborate on co-branded events, product spotlights, and community partnerships., • Log all leads and event interactions in Odoo and keep calendars and project details up to date in our shared systems., • Support campaigns and launches with field insights, local partnerships, and creative input., • Communicate regularly with the marketing team to keep all efforts connected and coordinated. Skills & Qualifications • 1–3 years of experience in events, field marketing, PR, partnerships, or community engagement, • Strong communicator who is confident connecting with people in person and representing a brand authentically, • Organized, self-motivated, and thrives in fast-moving, changing environments, • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small, cross-functional team, • Enjoys being outdoors and on the move. This is not a desk job., • Comfortable capturing and sharing content on the go (photo, video, short clips), • Colorado-based, with flexibility for some evenings and weekends, • Willingness to travel nationally for expos and events (8-12 times/year), • Experience in outdoor, lifestyle, van life, or automotive industries, • Familiarity with event planning, PR workflows, or brand partnerships, • Knowledge of Odoo, WordPress, or similar marketing tools, • Plan and execute DM Vans' presence at 2-3 major adventure/outdoor expos per quarter (e.g., Adventure Van Expo, Overland Expo), • Execute 1-2 local Front Range events per week (farmers markets, brewery pop-ups, ski town activations, community gatherings), • Maintain 1 consistent weekly location for scheduled van showings and tours, • Bring the van to partnership and PR opportunities (brand collaborations, media features, customer visits), • Collect and log at least 25 qualified leads per month through events and partnerships, • Support at least 2 media placements or partnership collaborations per quarter, • Base Salary: Starting at $50,000/year, depending on experience., • Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and 401(k)., • Perks: #Vanlife travel opportunities, creative freedom, equipment support, collabs with premier brands, and a flexible work environment built on trust and results., • Employee Ownership: Eligible for the DM Vans employee‑ownership program, sharing in long‑term success., • Career Path: Opportunities to grow within the marketing team into senior event, partnership, or brand management roles as the company scales.
