POSITION AVAILABILITY:This position is 40 hours per week and must be available Monday - Friday, June 16 - August 7, working 7:45 am - 4:15 pm each day. BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY • Oversee the daily operations of the day camp kitchen, including managing camper dietary restrictions and food-based health needs, providing and maintaining daily meal count documents, coordinating the process for supply purchasing and inventory, sanitizing the kitchen etc., • Responsible for light custodial work and space reset after each meal and after snack time., • Ensure the kitchen and community room is safe and usable., • Haul garbage, recycling, and compost for proper disposal throughout the camp day., • Oversee food service operations and meal tracking for the Summer Food Program, ensuring all nutritional requirements are met, required documentation is recorded, meal counts are submitted timely., • Work within a budget to manage inventory and place food and supply orders., • Supervise kitchen aides and high school interns., • May be asked to fill in, as needed, in various other capacities to support Day Camp in achieving its mission.
