KDM is seeking a Global Facilities & HSE Manager to ensure our workspaces are safe, compliant, and fully operational across the enterprise. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as coordinating and procuring facilities and HSE‑related services globally. • Located in Houston, • Standard hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (occasional hours as needed during weekends and evenings) Katalyst Data Management (KDM) is the global leader in hosted subsurface data management solutions for the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities The Global Facilities & HSE Manager ensures company workspaces are safe, compliant, and fully operational across the enterprise. This role oversees the maintenance and management of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment, and manages the procurement and coordination of related facilities and HSE services. In its HSE capacity, the role supports the global Health, Safety, and Environment program under the direction of the HSE Chair and Co‑Chair. The position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and partners with regional leaders to promote consistent standards, safety, and operational excellence worldwide. Scope of Role: • Manage day‑to‑day facilities operations at the Houston location while coordinating with on‑site teams across other locations to maintain building systems, physical infrastructure, and safe, functional workplace environments., • Execute and manage facilities maintenance programs, including hands-on scheduling of preventative and corrective maintenance, directly engaging vendors and personally coordinating repairs, refurbishments and capital improvement projects., • Conduct and manage sourcing and procurement activities for facilities related and other goods and services, identifying suppliers, preparing RFQs, negotiating contracts, and managing ongoing vendor relationships to ensure value, quality, and supply continuity., • Plan and coordinate international shipping and logistics, personally managing end-to-end logistics arrangements for company assets, equipment, and materials across multiple jurisdictions, including direct communication with carriers and logistics providers to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of goods., • Prepare and review international trade and logistics documentation, personally drafting and processing commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, import/export permits, and customs declarations in accordance with applicable country-specific regulations., • Directly liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers, acting as the primary point of contact to resolve shipment issues, negotiate routing and rates, and ensure full compliance with import/export requirements and trade regulations across all operating jurisdictions., • Develop, implement, and personally maintain the company's HSE management system, liaising with the HSE Committee in authoring policies, procedures, risk assessments, emergency response plans, and incident reports while ensuring the overall framework aligns applicable local regulations., • Demonstrated experience in facilities management or a closely related role, with responsibility for day‑to‑day operations, maintenance, and vendor coordination., • Strong working knowledge of facilities and building systems, including technical and engineering operations, and best practices in facilities management., • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate resources, and drive execution across teams and locations., • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities, with a practical, solution‑oriented approach to problem solving., • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners., • Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial principles, including budgeting, cost control, and expense tracking related to facilities, projects, and services., • Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, vendor oversight, and delivery of maintenance or improvement initiatives., • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience., • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Facilities Management, including responsibility within a multi‑national or multi‑site organization., • Hands‑on experience managing building systems and critical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, generators, and industrial UPS systems., • Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, including vendor selection, RFQs, contract negotiation, and supplier management., • Experience coordinating international shipping and logistics, including working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers., • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or supporting HSE Management Systems, including policies, risk assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance. This position currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The position works with local management to secure internal resources for minor tasks and oversees vendors and service providers for major tasks. Work Environment: This role operates across professional office, warehouse, and computer room environments. The position involves exposure to enterprise‑class IT and infrastructure equipment, including network switches, large‑scale UPS systems, generators, electrical panels, and structured network cabling. Facilities are equipped with commercial HVAC systems and backup power generation. Warehouse activities at the primary location involve the use of pallet jacks for material handling, while the spares facility utilizes an electric forklift. The role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers. Physical Demands: This is an active role that requires spending a significant portion of the workday standing, walking, and moving between work areas. The position may involve periods of physically demanding activity, including lifting and moving equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds, walking up and down stairs, climbing ladders, and working in confined or restricted spaces such as under raised computer room floors, above drop ceilings, and on rooftops. The role may also require bending, reaching, and working in varied environmental conditions consistent with facilities, warehouse, and infrastructure environments. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed for the performance of job tasks and duties. Travel: This position may require occasional travel to other Katalyst locations to perform job‑related duties.
