Job Description Valley Forge Military College Wayne, PA Salary Range: $45,000–$50,000 (commensurate with experience) Position Overview Valley Forge Military College (VFMC) is a private military junior college in Wayne, Pennsylvania, with a long-standing tradition of educating and developing student leaders. VFMC is seeking an Admissions Recruiter & Coordinator to support undergraduate recruitment and admissions operations. This position is ideal for a 3–5 year admissions or recruitment professional who enjoys relationship-building, student and parent engagement, and managing the day-to-day mechanics of the admissions process. The role works closely with the Director of Admissions and serves as a critical in-office anchor, ensuring continuity of operations while senior staff are engaged in external recruitment and counselor outreach. Key Responsibilities Admissions Processing & Operations • Process undergraduate applications and supporting documents, • Prepare and manage admissions decisions and offer letters, • Maintain accurate applicant records in the CRM and student information system, • Track leads, follow up on incomplete files, and support yield efforts, • Engage with prospective students, parents, counselors, and community partners in a professional, tactful manner, • Support recruitment initiatives including college fairs, career fairs, and on-campus events, • Participate in limited regional travel for recruitment events as needed, • Clearly explain admissions requirements, timelines, and next steps, • Provide guidance on both traditional college pathways and military-affiliated educational options, • Receive structured training on VFMC academic programs, military pathways, ROTC-aligned options, and student support systems, • Learn institutional admissions policies, scholarship frameworks, and compliance expectations Required • 3–5 years of experience in admissions, recruiting, enrollment management, sales, or a comparable relationship-driven role, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and independent workflows, • Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and discretion, • Prior experience in higher education admissions or student services, • Military, Guard, ROTC, or veteran-serving experience, • Experience working with families, counselors, or young adults in transition, • Primarily office-based with some local and regional travel for recruitment events, • Not a high-volume call-center environment, • Requires judgment, tact, and relationship-building rather than transactional recruiting, • Salary range: $45,000–$50,000, based on experience, • Comprehensive medical benefits package, • Paid time off and institutional holidays, • Professional development and on-the-job training opportunities
