Job Description Shopify Partner Manager / Head of Strategic Partnerships (Shopify-focused) Location: On-Site or Remote ravel as needed for partner meetings and Shopify events. Role Summary Forix is seeking an experienced Shopify Partner Manager to open and expand high-impact relationships within Shopify and its ecosystem. This person must have previous experience at Shopify or a proven history working directly with Shopify teams and a track record of success collaborating with Shopify Partnerships and Sales organizations. This is not a narrow channel-manager role. You will own and drive Forix’s strategic partnerships function, with Shopify as the cornerstone partner. You’ll build inroads across Shopify’s partner, solutions engineering, and sales teams; secure referral flows; co-sell with Shopify; and identify complementary platform/technology alliances that grow our pipeline and strengthen Forix’s market position. The ideal candidate has strong standing in the Shopify community, is known for integrity and results, and can provide multiple Shopify references who will speak to their ability to build trust and drive partner-sourced revenue. Key Objectives (First 3 Months) • Establish Forix as a “go-to” Shopify agency partner for enterprise and high-growth merchants., • Create a predictable Shopify-sourced and Shopify-influenced pipeline., • Build repeatable co-selling and enablement motions with Shopify Sales & Partnerships., • Stand up a strategic partnerships framework that expands beyond Shopify into adjacent tech and ecosystem partners. Core Responsibilities & Duties Shopify Partnership Leadership • Build and maintain senior and working-level relationships across Shopify’s Partnerships, Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Partner Success teams., • Develop joint GTM plans with Shopify aligned to priority verticals, merchant segments, and capabilities., • Drive co-selling execution: account mapping, deal strategy, enablement, and shared success metrics., • Secure Forix participation in Shopify programs (e.g., Plus/enterprise co-sell motions, partner spotlights, solution showcases)., • Build and lead a scalable strategic partnerships roadmap (tech platforms, apps, SI/agency alliances, data/CRM/ERP, payments, logistics, CRO, etc.)., • Source, evaluate, and negotiate partnerships that drive revenue and competitive advantage., • Create internal processes for onboarding, managing, and measuring partnerships (partner tiers, referral terms, MDF, enablement, QBRs)., • Set and own partner-sourced revenue targets and conversion KPIs., • Track, forecast, and report on pipeline influenced by Shopify and other partners., • Collaborate with Forix sales leadership to ensure smooth handoffs, clear ownership, and high win-rates., • Educate and enable Forix sales, marketing, and delivery teams on Shopify programs, partner motions, and joint value propositions., • Help craft Forix narratives that align with Shopify’s strategic direction (B2B, headless, international, replatforming, POS, etc.)., • Maintain a high-trust, high-visibility presence internally; act as the voice of the partner ecosystem at Forix. Required Qualifications • Direct experience at Shopify OR 3–5+ years in a role working closely with Shopify partnerships/sales teams (agency, tech partner, or SI)., • Demonstrable success driving partner-sourced or partner-influenced revenue through Shopify., • Strong relationships within Shopify; must be able to provide references at Shopify attesting to reputation, performance, and collaborative style., • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams and partnerships organizations, including co-sell motions., • History of building or scaling strategic partnerships beyond a single anchor partner., • Deep understanding of Shopify ecosystem: Plus/enterprise merchant needs, partner programs, app marketplace dynamics, and competitive landscape., • Strong negotiation, communication, and executive-level stakeholder management skills., • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building process from scratch., • Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings and key events. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with enterprise commerce consultative sales cycles., • Background in digital commerce agencies, systems integrators, or SaaS/platform partnerships., • Network across adjacent ecosystems (payments, ERP, PIM, OMS, CRO, search/personalization, loyalty, etc.)., • Familiarity with structured partner programs, MDF / co-marketing, and partner performance analytics., • Existing visibility in Shopify community (speaker, contributor, partner advisory member, etc.).
