The Director, Treasury will be responsible for cash and liquidity management, banking relationships, debt administration, lender and covenant reporting, insurance and surety programs, treasury controls, and the treasury workstreams associated with financings and strategic transactions. \nThe successful candidate will be comfortable operating as a senior finance professional while remaining deeply involved in execution. The candidate will build the cash forecasts, manage bank portals and account structures, track debt obligations, prepare lender reporting, monitor covenants, coordinate insurance and surety requirements, and ensure funds move accurately and on time. \nAt the same time, this person will serve as a trusted partner to the CFO, bringing visibility to liquidity, capital requirements, financing obligations, and financial risk and helping build the treasury infrastructure the company will need as it scales. \nThe role sits at the intersection of corporate finance, project finance, accounting, development, construction, asset management, M&A, and operations. The ideal candidate has significant treasury or infrastructure finance experience, strong technical judgment, and no hesitation about rolling up their sleeves and doing the work themselves. \nKey Responsibilities \nCash & Liquidity Management \n\n Own daily cash positioning and liquidity management across corporate entities, project companies, and special-purpose entities. \n\n Personally prepare and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts incorporating development expenditures, construction activity, acquisitions, debt service, financing proceeds, operating cash flows, and other capital requirements. \n\n Maintain visibility into current and projected liquidity and identify potential funding constraints before they become issues. \n\n Manage cash deployment, account structures, intercompany funding, and working capital across the organization. \n\n Partner directly with Accounting, Development, Construction, Asset Management, and Finance to improve forecasting accuracy. \n\n Provide the CFO with clear, actionable reporting on liquidity, upcoming capital requirements, and cash risks. \n\nDebt & Financing Administration \n\n Assist with the company's debt portfolio, including corporate facilities, construction financing, term debt, project-level facilities, letters of credit, and other financing arrangements. \n\n Assist with maintaining detailed schedules of debt balances, maturities, interest rates, payment obligations, covenants, reserve requirements, collateral requirements, and other material financing terms. \n\n Assist with tracking covenant compliance and prepare required lender and financing reports. \n\n Assist with funding requests, debt service obligations, reserve requirements, and other treasury activities required under financing agreements. \n\n Assist with the review of financing documentation to identify ongoing treasury obligations and ensure those requirements are operationalized following closing. \n\n Support the CFO and finance team in evaluating and executing new financing arrangements, refinancings, recapitalizations, and other capital transactions. \n\nBanking & Lender Relationships \n\n Serve as the primary day-to-day treasury contact for banks, lenders, and other financial institutions. \n\n Maintain productive senior-level relationships with banking and financing partners while personally handling the operational work required to support those relationships. \n\n Manage bank accounts, including openings and closures, authorized signers, user access, payment authorities, and account documentation. \n\n Administer bank portals and treasury services and ensure appropriate access and fraud-prevention controls. \n\n Manage wires, ACH transactions, payment approvals, and other movement of funds in accordance with company controls. \n\n Coordinate lender reporting, audits, diligence requests, compliance requirements, and ongoing financing obligations. \n\n Manage letters of credit and other banking instruments required for development, construction, financing, and contractual obligations. \n\n Evaluate banking products, account structures, services, and pricing as the company's needs evolve. \n\nProject Finance & Strategic Transactions \n\n Serve as the treasury point person for acquisitions, financings, dispositions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. \n\n Work directly with the CFO, Business Development, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Development, and external advisors throughout transaction diligence and execution. \n\n Evaluate the cash, liquidity, banking, debt, collateral, and treasury implications of proposed transactions. \n\n Support financial modeling, sources-and-uses analysis, funding mechanics, and transaction execution. \n\n Coordinate the movement of funds associated with transaction closings. \n\n Establish banking, cash management, debt administration, insurance, controls, and reporting for newly acquired assets and entities. \n\n Support project-level financing activities across the company's development and operating portfolio. \n\n Help ensure financing and transaction structures can be effectively administered after closing. \n\nInsurance & Surety \n\n Manage the company's corporate and project-level insurance programs, including property, casualty, liability, builder's risk, and renewable energy-specific coverage. \n\n Serve as the day-to-day contact for insurance brokers, underwriters, surety providers, and internal stakeholders. \n\n Coordinate policy placements, renewals, certificates of insurance, claims documentation, and other insurance requirements. \n\n Manage surety and bonding requirements supporting development, construction, interconnection, and contractual obligations. \n\n Maintain organized records of policies, certificates, bonds, collateral requirements, renewals, and expiration dates. \n\n Ensure insurance and surety requirements align with financing agreements, project contracts, and other obligations. \n\n Identify opportunities to improve coverage, pricing, deductibles, bonding capacity, and overall program efficiency. \n\nTreasury Controls, Risk & Reporting \n\n Develop, document, and maintain practical treasury policies, procedures, controls, and approval authorities. \n\n Maintain strong controls around bank access, payment activity, wires, ACH transactions, and movement of funds. \n\n Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and fraud-prevention practices while working within a lean finance organization. \n\n Maintain accurate documentation of bank accounts, debt instruments, letters of credit, guarantees, surety bonds, insurance policies, and related obligations. \n\n Monitor liquidity risk, interest-rate exposure, counterparty exposure, concentration risk, and other treasury-related financial risks. \n\n Partner with Accounting and external auditors on financial audits, internal-control reviews, and related requirements. \n\n Build and maintain treasury reporting covering cash, liquidity forecasts, debt, covenant compliance, banking exposure, insurance, surety, and key financial risks. \n\n Continuously improve treasury processes, reporting, systems, and controls as the organization grows. \n\nRequirements\n \nRequired \n\n Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. \n\n 5+ years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, project finance, banking, infrastructure finance, or a related discipline. \n\n Strong hands-on experience managing cash and liquidity across multiple entities or complex organizational structures. \n\n Demonstrated experience administering debt facilities, financing agreements, covenant requirements, and lender reporting. \n\n Experience working directly with banks, lenders, financial institutions, and external advisors. \n\n Strong understanding of banking administration, payment controls, treasury operations, and financial risk management. \n\n Experience supporting complex financings, capital transactions, or project-level funding structures. \n\n Strong financial modeling, forecasting, analytical, and reporting capabilities. \n\n Advanced Excel skills and comfort working directly with financial data and detailed schedules. \n\n Ability to independently manage multiple treasury workstreams with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. \n\n Demonstrated ability to build or improve processes in a growing or evolving organization. \n\nPreferred \n\n Experience within renewable energy, power, infrastructure, project finance, or energy development. \n\n Experience with solar, battery energy storage, or other infrastructure assets. \n\n Familiarity with project-level financing structures, tax equity, construction financing, term debt, and special-purpose entities. \n\n Experience supporting M&A, asset acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, or other strategic transactions. \n\n Experience managing insurance and surety programs within construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy. \n\n Experience in a private equity-backed, sponsor-backed, high-growth, or transaction-intensive organization. \n\n CTP, CFA, CPA, MBA, or another relevant advanced credential is a plus. \n \n\nWho You Are \nYou are an experienced treasury professional who wants ownership without distance from the work. You have the judgment and experience to advise a CFO, communicate confidently with lenders and banking partners, and understand the implications of complex financing structures — but you are equally comfortable opening the spreadsheet, logging into the bank portal, reconciling a cash position, reviewing a covenant calculation, or preparing a lender package yourself. \nYou don't need a large team to be effective. You know how to independently organize a treasury function, determine what needs attention, and get the work done. \nYou are highly analytical and detail-oriented, but you also understand the larger business context behind the numbers. You recognize how development schedules, acquisitions, construction activity, financing commitments, and operating performance ultimately affect cash and liquidity. \nYou thrive in an environment where the business may be growing faster than its infrastructure. Rather than waiting for perfect systems or processes, you build practical solutions that work today and can scale tomorrow. \nMost importantly, you take ownership. If something falls within treasury, you make sure it gets done accurately, thoughtfully, and on time. \n\nWhy Blue Sky Utility / Nofar USA \nThis role offers the opportunity to own a critical finance function while remaining directly involved in the work. \nThe Director, Treasury will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership and have meaningful exposure to the financing, acquisition, development, and operation of a growing U.S. renewable energy portfolio. \nYou will have the opportunity to: \n\n Own treasury end-to-end rather than manage one narrow piece of a larger organization. \n\n Work directly with the CFO on liquidity, financing, capital planning, and financial risk. \n\n Participate in complex renewable energy financings, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. \n\n Build treasury processes and infrastructure as the company's portfolio grows. \n\n Develop direct relationships with banks, lenders, brokers, surety providers, and other financial institutions. \n\n Work across corporate and project-level structures in a highly transaction-oriented environment. \n\n Have significant visibility and impact within a lean, entrepreneurial organization. \n\n \nBenefits\n\nWhat We Offer\nA Lean Team Where Your Work Actually Matters\n We operate with a lean, highly capable team, which means there aren’t layers of people between you and the work that matters. You’ll have real ownership, direct access to decision-makers, and the opportunity to influence how we build and grow the business. If you want to be a meaningful voice rather than a small part of a very large machine, you’ll find that opportunity here.\nA Fast Pace and a High Bar\n We believe in being transparent about what it’s like to work here: we move quickly, the workload can be demanding, and our expectations are high. This is an environment for people who enjoy being challenged, solving problems, taking initiative, and figuring things out as we grow. In return, you’ll gain exposure, responsibility, and influence that can take years to earn in a more traditional organization.\nWho Thrives Here\n The people who do best at Blue Sky are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership. They don’t wait to be told what to do next, and they’re willing to step outside the boundaries of a job description when the business needs it. They care about outcomes more than watching the clock, bring solutions instead of simply identifying problems, and genuinely enjoy the energy — and occasional ambiguity — that comes with building a growing company. If you’re a go-getter who wants room to run, you’ll fit in well here.\nBenefits That Invest in You\n We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) with a generous 6% company match.\nHybrid, With Purpose\n We believe there is real value in being together. Our hybrid model creates regular opportunities for in-person collaboration, faster decision-making, and stronger relationships while still providing flexibility outside of the office.\nWhat to Expect From Our Hiring Process\nWe’re Choosy — On Purpose.\n We fiercely protect the culture we’ve built, and our hiring process reflects that. Skills and experience matter, but so does how you work, how you collaborate, and what you’ll add to the team. We want to get to know the person behind the résumé — and we want you to have plenty of opportunity to get to know us, too.\nOur typical hiring process looks like this:\nHR Screen → Hiring Manager Interview → Culture Assessment → Case Study, when applicable → Cross-Team Interview → CEO Meet & Greet → Offer\nNot every role requires a case study, but for certain positions we use one to better understand how you think, approach problems, and tackle the type of work you would actually be doing here.\nIt Sounds Like a Lot. It Doesn’t Take a Lot of Time.\n We’re deliberate in our hiring decisions, but we’re also decisive. Our average turnaround from initial HR screen to offer is less than two weeks. We move quickly and respect that candidates have jobs, lives, and other opportunities in motion.\nYou’ll Always Know Where You Stand.\n Clear communication is an important part of our candidate experience. We’ll be transparent about the process and expectations from the beginning, keep you infor
