Company Description Digestive Disease Medicine (DDM) of Central New York has been providing the highest quality of compassionate GI care for over 35 years. Our team focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating digestive system conditions, tailoring our care to meet each patient's unique needs and concerns. We have a dedicated team of four physicians , all board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, along with eight nurse practitioners and physician assistants certified by their respective societies. We are looking to add 2 or 3 new associates Experienced physicians, graduating fellows and J-1 applicants are welcome to apply. We are affiliated with WYNN hospital, the newest Hospital in New York State. We function as an independent LLC working on RVU's with Mohawk valley health system who own the employees so there is little or no overhead. No Buy in required. We own the building. 750,000$ starting guarantee for a year, then transitioning into an RVU based salary. We are an extremely busy practice, so busy from day one. We are the sole GI providers in the area. Our very experienced mid-levels take first call. We have a Robust retirement plan including 401K and profit sharing plan. Utica is a dynamic City which has undergone a renaissance offering many diverse dining opportunities reflecting the Cities Multi-ethnic populace. The suburbs are picturesque offering excellent schools, affordable large homes with land, very low crime rate and virtually no traffic jams. Everything is pretty much within 20 minutes of the hospital or office. We are a very collegial group, sponsoring monthly journal clubs and case reviews and discussions. The Endoscopy Center is state of the Art, just acquiring the latest Olympus scopes. we have in house CT scanning, US, Breath testing and pathology. We invite any interested parties to visit and view our facilities. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Gastroenterologist located in Utica, NY. The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with digestive system disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, managing liver diseases, and conducting capsule endoscopies. The role includes collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and improve patients' overall health. ERCP and EUS not necessary. The physicians do one week of Hospitalist rotation working with two mid-levels. Other weeks are in the Endoscopy Center or office, generally done by 4:30. Call shared equally. Procedures are with Anesthesiologists giving propofol. Qualifications • Proficiency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, • Experience with Endoscopy and Capsule Endoscopy, • Strong background in Medicine, • Excellent patient care and communication skills, • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine
