Acts as the team leader in team teaching situations., • Develops recruitment techniques and recruits program participants; develops assessment and intake procedures, and provides assessment and intake services to program participants; maintains good relationships with other service providers and recruitment sources; assesses participant needs for referral to additional service providers and makes appropriate referrals., • Records individual and group progress as dictated by contract compliance and professional standards., • Compiles and analyzes statistics and prepares drafts for statistical/programmatic reports for supervisors as requested., • Orders and maintains inventory of instructional materials; develops resources to support program objectives; provides transportation and other financial assistance to program participants under program guidelines., • Participates extensively in staff meetings, in-service training, and organization activities; may lead staff meetings as requested in absence of supervisor; participates in additional training as assigned., • Demonstrated through knowledge of instruction theory, technique, and activities; carries the volume of work required by department standards, individual program, and organization. In-person meetings may be required on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, etc.). There may also be the availability to work from home when appropriate. Work Environment: • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate., • Each program site operates on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year. To meet both the needs of our participants and contractual obligations, employees are required to be flexible in regard to scheduling and work location., • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear., • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk., • The employee must be able to stoop, kneel and/or crawl., • The employee is regularly required to use hands to key, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms., • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must have unrestricted ability to provide physical restraint., • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
