Job DescriptionDescription: Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff. Position Summary: This is a 5 year grant funded position. The Training, Resource, and Financial Empowerment Coordinator strengthens the Fatherhood Program by expanding internal and external resources, coordinating training opportunities, and helping fathers build financial stability. This position connects participants to education, employment, and financial literacy supports — including budgeting, banking, credit building, and goal setting — while coordinating with Zepf Center departments and community partners to ensure wraparound support and long-term success. Hours: Monday-Friday, groups in the evening and some outreach on weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Outreach and Engagement • Assist with attending community events and community meetings to recruit fathers to the program, • Will facilitate Fatherhood 101 Orientations with other staff by providing overview of services and fathers responsibilities, • Will assist fathers complete initial eligibility documentation requirement, • Will work with community partners and other internal staff to assist fathers overcome various barriers (legal, transportation, housing stability, etc) that impact their successes Assessment and Treatment Planning • At enrollment will meet with the father to complete a Needs and Barrier Assessment, • Assess fathers needs that impact their ability to participate in the program and in employment situations, • Develops Comprehensive Individual Service Strategy (ISS) that assist the father meet their parenting responsibilities and assist them reach their employment goals. Monitors and evaluates father progress toward goal obtainment., • On an ongoing basis, assesses and evaluates the participant in the following areas: education level, work history, living arrangement, family dynamics, domestic violence issues, emotional stability, substance abuse usage, support systems, transportation, identification of disability, learning styles, physical health, and services needed to thrive as a parent as well in the occupation area of their choice., • Reviews and modifies individualized treatment /action plan to meet individual needs Skill Development • Facilitates Fatherhood Nurturing Fathers Curriculum groups by providing mentoring that focuses on developing the father’s understanding of parental responsibilities and their impact on their child’s lives, • Provides Intensive Mentoring and Coaching services to assist fathers to overcome barriers to effective parenting, • Provide group and/or Individual Parenting Skills Training, • Provides other service interventions consistent with father’s goals and program objectives, • Provide educational support and training that strengthens employability through completion of GED, tutoring, access to on-line training and job skills training, • May provide job search skills training, • Document service interventions and outcome information in nFORM and other electronic records Case Load Management • Will maintain regular contact with fathers through their participation in the program. This includes at least two significant contacts per month as well other contacts that keeps the father engaged in services, • Advocate on behalf of the father throughout their enrollment in the project, • Provides intensive case management, vocational guidance, coaching, tutoring ,referral services and service bridging., • Provides feedback to fathers, referral sources, and other staff regarding progress; provides client intervention/support as needed and implements client management techniques in accordance with individual service strategy. Services are provided in the office, fathers home, community, and employment sites., • Advocate on behalf of the participant throughout their enrollment in the project, • Prepares progress reports and notes for referral. Assures files are current and meet standards, i.e. as established by outline of the grant., • Will maintain an active case load and report progress to the integrated team. Assures files are current and meet standards, i.e. as established by outline of the grant., • Refers father to appropriate community services and resources to assist the father reach their goals, • Completes various forms that are required and consistent with agency and project policies, • Will be required to file documents files (paper or electronic) and scan documents into data systems, • Will be required to transport clients in company cars to various activities or interventions that assist the father reach their goal, • Meets with integrated team to discuss cases and review program goals and other project deliverables Follow Up and Case Discharge • Will provide follow-up with client after completing fatherhood groups to assist the father in reaching goal attainment and assist father overcome barriers, • May refer fathers to other services in the community that assist fathers reach goals, • Completes program discharges with fathers based off program policy process and individual client needs Other Items • Assures the organization’s administrative procedures, philosophy, mission, and vision is carried out on a consistent basis., • Perform other duties as assigned Training and Resource Development • Coordinate and track all father-focused training, including workforce, parenting, and personal development workshops., • Serve as a liaison between the Fatherhood Program and other Zepf departments to enhance access to behavioral health, housing, and vocational services., • Partner with external organizations such as Trainco, Penta, Owens, and Sunbelt to streamline short-term training and credential opportunities., • Provide financial literacy education through group sessions and one-on-one coaching with fathers., • Assist participants with creating personal budgets, setting short- and long-term financial goals, and understanding income management., • Support fathers in opening checking and savings accounts and building relationships with trusted financial institutions., • Help participants review credit reports, improve credit scores, and develop debt reduction plans., • Connect fathers with community partners offering advanced financial counseling, homebuyer education, or small business development resources., • Work closely with case managers, peers, and employment staff to integrate financial empowerment into service plans., • Coordinate guest speakers and partnerships with banks, credit unions, and financial educators., • Collect data, success stories, and feedback for program evaluation and grant reporting., • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and outreach events to promote father engagement and self-sufficiency.Requirements: Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Business, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered., • Minimum of two years of experience in workforce development, education coordination, financial literacy, or community outreach., • Strong understanding of budgeting, credit, and financial education principles., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support fathers from diverse backgrounds., • Knowledge of Zepf Center programs and community resources preferred., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual platforms, and data systems., • Certification or experience in financial coaching or financial literacy instruction., • Familiarity with nFORM or similar case management systems., • Experience working with federally funded programs or fatherhood initiatives.
