It is the job of the Assistant to help with setting up the rooms, samples, swatches and other materials in advance of each one, and to take notes during meetings to capture feedback between both parties. Essential Responsibilities: • Assist Sales Executives with preparation for customer meetings, whether in-person or virtual, • Prepare and run inventory CADs to send to buyers, via email or USPS/Fed-Ex, • Check Purchase Orders against worksheets and available inventory, • Pack, send and track samples and cads to buyers as needed; notify buyer of status with airway bill, • Maintain and organize sample closets; set up showrooms with samples, • Prepare inventory reports and analyze sales reports and prepare cads to send buyer’s best sellers also prepare emails to sales/design on customer best and worst sellers, • Input buyer worksheets to place goods on hold (domestic and direct), check P.O.s for accuracy, make changes to orders as needed, handle shortages & extensions, and manage P.O. move-ups or late deliveries, • Previous related internship experience reequired, preferably in wholesale/retail apparel industry, • Self-starter attitude, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Attention to detail with solid analytical skills, • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multi-task, • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, • Must enjoy working in a cohesive team environment and be able to collaborate with other departments/individuals, • Working knowledge of retail math and analytical skills, • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, • This job description is not intended to be exhaustive. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with knowledge of the golf industry and a passion for golf apparel. The Independent Sales Representative - Golf Division will report to the Golf Account Executive (internal channel lead). This is a remote independent contractor position. A DAY IN THE LIFE • Driving and executing sales in your territory. Key elements of success include, but are not limited to:, • Develop and strengthen relationships with partners through consistent communication and interaction with regular in-store visits and events, • Completing product training for both in season and pre-book lines; ensure accounts understand the value proposition and brand differentiation, • Assist accounts with visual merchandising and inventory management, • Manage all pertinent regional trade shows and events within the territory; participate in national shows and events as needed (e.g. PGA Show), • Prospecting and opening new accounts to support sales growth and align to the Brand, • Present opportunities for soft shops or fixtures in order to create a bigger brand moment, as well as tournament opportunities, • Maintain clear visibility of business performance and provide supervisor regular reporting on both quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback from accounts, • Bachelor's degree with experience in golf, retail, or sales, • Existing key relationships with golf buyers in your territory, • Required to live in your territory, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Detail oriented, extremely well organized with strong time management skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
