Job DescriptionJob Title: Parts Breakdown Job Description This position involves removing cut parts from large sheets of steel, aluminum, and other metals. The role is repetitive and requires standing for extended periods. When not engaged in this task, employees will undertake various duties throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities • Complete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions., • Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles, and help maintain the warehouse., • Receive, place, and return items into stock inventory locations., • Pull and assemble orders based on work/shipping orders or other documentation., • Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation., • Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklift, side loader, or crane., • Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers., • Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition., • Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code., • Conduct spot checks on inventory and complete daily and/or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material, as directed., • Report any irregularities to supervisor for direction., • Restock material., • Occasionally drive a non-DOT truck for local deliveries and parts pick-ups., • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards., • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.Essential Skills, • Forklift operation., • General labor and material handling., • Order picking and packing., • Machine operation., • Shipping and receiving., • Construction and assembly., • Loading, packaging, and unloading.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience., • High School diploma/GED preferred., • Valid Driver’s License required., • Must be able to obtain certification to operate all required motorized material handling and rigging equipment., • Trade school certification in electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing preferred., • Technical aptitude and basic knowledge of mechanics., • Working knowledge of electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and equipment repair., • Manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limbed coordination., • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions., • Basic measurement skills and arithmetic for calculations., • Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications., • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively., • Sound decision-making based on knowledge, experience, and judgment., • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, internal customers, and/or vendors.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
