Job DescriptionDirector, Manufacturing Scale-Up (Aerospace CNC) — Halcyon Manufacturing Location: San Jose, CA Salary: $125,000 – $190,000 annual potential Halcyon Manufacturing is a $4M+ CNC aerospace prototyping shop at an inflection point. We’re ready to turn strong demand into disciplined, repeatable output—and we’re looking for a hands-on leader to build the operating system that gets us consistently to $500K+ per month without sacrificing quality, delivery, or cash flow. A day in this seat It’s 7:30 a.m. in San Jose. You’ve reviewed yesterday’s OTD, scrap, and throughput, and your capacity model flags a potential inspection bottleneck. By 8:15, you’re in a quick stand-up with Production, QC, and Programming, resetting job priorities to protect lead times and cash conversion. Mid-morning is spent refining subcontracting allocations to a qualified vendor, ensuring margins stay intact. After lunch, you sync with the CEO on the next 30/60/90-day forecast, align resources, and validate the latest ERP scheduling changes. Before close, you walk the floor, verify WIP controls, and check that AS9100 requirements are met while inspection cycle times continue to fall. The team leaves clear on tomorrow’s plan—and the system just got a little stronger.
