Job DescriptionDescription: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – EverLights Location: Lindon, UT (On-site, full-time) EverLights is a fast-growing leader in permanent holiday and architectural lighting, helping homeowners and businesses enjoy beautiful, customizable lighting year-round. We’re at an exciting inflection point and are looking for a strategic, hands-on CFO to help refine our business model, harness our data, and steer the company to its next stage of growth. Role Overview The CFO will be a key executive partner to the CEO and leadership team, responsible for ensuring that everything ties back to a clear, scalable financial model. You’ll own the model, refine it, stress-test it, and use it to guide strategic decisions across the company. This is not a purely high-level role. You will be: • Deep in the monthly financial weeds, • Actively managing the finance & accounting team, • Leveraging robust data sets across departments (sales, operations, installation, support, etc.) to drive insights and decisions Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Business Model • Own, refine, and continuously improve the company’s financial model; ensure all major decisions align to and reflect back into the model., • Partner with leadership to evaluate growth initiatives, pricing strategies, channel strategies, and product decisions using data-driven financial analysis., • Build short- and long-term financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and sensitivity models to support strategic planning., • Oversee all finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, monthly close, AR/AP, cash management, and financial controls., • Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting., • Implement and/or refine systems, processes, and internal controls to support scalable growth., • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Support to leverage deep data sets across departments., • Translate large volumes of operational data into clear financial insights and actionable recommendations., • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance & accounting team; ensure accountability, clarity, and alignment., • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing beyond finance to overall company strategy and execution., • Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a growth-stage company (e.g., VP Finance, Head of Finance, or similar)., • Strong track record in building and owning financial models that drive strategic and operational decisions., • Comfortable working both strategically and tactically—from board-level strategy to detailed monthly financials., • Demonstrated experience managing finance & accounting teams and improving financial processes and systems., • Highly data-driven; adept at working with large, complex data sets and partnering with cross-functional teams to extract insights., • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills., • Experience in consumer products, home services, construction/installation, or similar industries is a plus., • Opportunity to be a vital executive shaping the future of a high-potential, growing company., • Direct influence on strategy, structure, and performance across all departments., • Close-knit, entrepreneurial environment where your work has immediate impact.
