We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and are currently looking for a Senior ITS / Technology Design Engineer to review, take leadership and management of ITS/ Technology systems design undertaken by Framework and external consultants. Management and provision of cost-effective design solutions to maintain or improve the M25 ITS/ Technology assets to the standards agreed and considering the needs of key stakeholders. Deliver the outcomes agreed with the National Highways to programme and budget, and to meet CPS quality standards. The working environment of the live operational tunnels and bridges provides multi-layered complexity for which innovative solutions are to be sought as we strive to improve safety by design. The role will support the CPS engineering team with design, design coordination, review Framework contractors’ proposals and manage external design consultants inline with the delivery priorities and programme. The role will require the individual to be able to both partake in design/method workshops for specific scopes alongside a regular (weekly) construction site presence to act as the interface between the site construction works and the design & engineering teams.
