Logistics & Transport Planner / Administrator, Salary Up to £28k depending on experience + excellent benefits package & career opportunities, 33 days holiday (inc bank holiday) Based: Westcott, Aylesbury. Working Monday to Friday (sociable hours) We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics & Transport Planner / Administrator to work for a leading company at their Westcott branch. As a Logistics & Transport Planner / Administrator you will ensure the efficient and cost-effective management of transport operations, while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the administrative functions within the branch. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth flow of logistics processes, ensuring timely deliveries and collections, and upholding the highest standards of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a Transport Administrator, Assistant Transport Planner, Dispatcher / Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or similar role. Logistics & Transport Administrator / Planner- The role: Vehicle Maintenance Scheduling and Administration: Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with schedules, coordinating servicing, inspections and associated paperwork. Despatch Management: Take ownership of the on-time despatch of units from the Service Centre, ensuring all requirements are met. Driver & Subcontractor Efficiency: Manage the day-to-day progress of drivers and subcontractors, driving efficiency and addressing any issues in real time. Daily Plan Execution & Completion: Execute the daily transport plan and handle all related administration to close out jobs. Driver Support: Provide ongoing support to our driver teams, acting as a point of contact and resolving operational queries. Reporting: Report into the Logistics Manager, supporting the wider logistics function with updates, planning and feedback. Site Safety: Take an active role as a member of the site safety team, promoting a safe working environment for all. Candidate requirements: Experience in a similar role e.g. Transport Administrator, Assistant Transport Planner, Dispatcher / Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or similar. Proven experience in general administration, with a keen ability to manage and organize various tasks efficiently. Excellent Communication: A polished telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with both customers and colleagues. Good computer skills, including proficiency with common software applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems. A high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, always striving to exceed customer expectations.
