An established and growing organisation within the specialist construction sector in East Hampshire is looking to appoint a Commercial Pricing Manager to lead its pricing and tendering function. Operating across a range of compliance-led projects, this business delivers technically detailed works within regulated and live environments, where quality, accuracy, and commercial awareness are critical. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the full pre-construction lifecycle from initial enquiry through to tender submission and internal handover while managing and developing a small team. Key responsibilities • Lead and manage the estimating and pricing function across multiple projects, • Oversee the full tender lifecycle from enquiry through to submission and handover, • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to ensure accurate interpretation, • Prepare and review costings using first principles and schedule of rates, • Ensure all submissions are commercially viable, technically sound, and competitive, • Manage tender programmes, priorities, and internal approvals, • Identify and mitigate commercial and technical risks within submissions, • Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout the pre-construction phase, • Support operational and commercial teams with technical input where required, • Maintain oversight of pipeline activity, reporting on performance and forecasting Team leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop a small pre-construction team, • Drive consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across outputs, • Support training and development to enhance technical and commercial capability, • Foster a collaborative and high-performance working environment About you • Proven experience in a pre-construction, pricing, or tendering role within the specialist construction sector, • Experience managing or mentoring others within a commercial or pre-construction function, • Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, tender processes, and cost planning, • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, • Experience working on compliance-led or technically regulated projects, • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail, • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both internal teams and clients, • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines Package and benefits • Full-time, permanent contract, • Salary circa. £45,000 to £50,000 per year, • Performance-related bonus scheme, • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays
